Cal or UGA...Which Was Sweeter?

Cal game was huge because of top 10 standing and love fest of talking heads. Vols came out and spanked them to make a huge statement. However, UGA game was bigger because critical conference game, we can't take another conference loss and it was at Athens.

Cal was crazy sweet, as we rolled them up from almost the get go.

UGA was sweetest, because the Dawgs were given hope, yet robbed of that hope minutes later. Beautiful stuff. Nothing like shutting down a rowdy home crowd!

Georgia was a huge win and meant more because of the must win for conference standing, but...The more the Cal players run their mouth the sweeter that win gets.

The win over Gawwgia was more inportant to the VOLS.

Who is Cal?

Both!

Coming back and beating UGA on their home field is HUGE. But beating a top 10 Cal in the season opener, after the season we had last year, was sweet.

Cal was sweet after a long off-season and if they'd put up more of a fight it would have been my pick, but the pan of the Gawga crowd after the blocked punt and seeing them realize as a collective group that they their butts were being handed to them on an orange platter...classic!!!!!

Cal was s nice win, showing a MUCH improved team, but my vote would go to the UGA win IN Athens. To me that one means more.

CAL came in with so many unknowns after suckiest season in two decades. Beat them like a drum. Sah-weet!!

UGA came in with higher expectations and losing 5 out of 6 in recent years. Not just beat the Dawgs but whiped so hard they tried to cite us for spousal abuse. Sah-weeter!!!

CAL was great, but im down in south georgia in Statesboro, and i am going to have to say beating them bulldykes, i mean bulldogs was sweeter, seeing all those depressed faces today, and me wearing my bright orange and big smile,,, priceless!!!!

I'll say this...beating CAl, makes this win a lot sweeter--had we lost to CAl, and UF, and beaten UGA...it would still be great, but being 5-1 in the top ten....one without the other really doesn't matter too much...

but which one did i relish more...UGA easily.

The Cal game was astounding, but I have to say that the GA game was sweeter. We got down by 17 points early. Nonetheless, we came out the second half ready to play and really took it to GA. Seeing the faces of the GA fans after we went up 38-27 was priceless.

UGA. I live around and work with a lot of UGA fans. My turn to brag for a year! Plus I WAS THERE!

Ditto!!!! The Cal game was more surprising, but nothing beats a years worth of bragging rights!!:dance2:

I defininately the Georgia game was sweeter. Because one it was a sec game. And anytime you get a win over a sec team it will be sweeter than a win over a Pac-10 school. And its always better when your down and come back to win.

I'd have to say beating Cal. After last season we was all down on UT football and the media was saying how we wasn't a national power anymore. Then to come out and dominate a highly ranked team that some so called experts was calling a national championship contender wa great! Yes going to Athens and beating UGA in a big SEC showdown was great too, but the Cal game got me feeling postive about Ainge and Tennessee football again.

The only thing better than beating Georgia is beating Alabama and Florida.

Cal was sweet in its own way because it was great to see us really play football after last year. But beating an SEC East rival? No doubt about it.

I hope to be back on here in two weeks and say that beating the red off of Alabama was the sweetest victory of the season. I will be there, and I am pumped since it is my first game of the season.

From a standpoint of sheer enjoyability, I think it was a lot sweeter to take the cocky UGA fans down another notch.

From a standpoint of significance, I think at the end of the season that the Cal game will be a much bigger win. I see UGA losing about two more games, and I don't see Cal losing another one--not even to USC.
