If Ky loses, it'll be in the SEC tourney. Cal doesn't like the SEC tourney. Thinks it is pointless and it really is for a team like Ky. What else do they have to prove by playing in it? However, their fan base will make it a home crowd and give them energy that they might've not otherwise had.

Steve Kerr was interviewing Coach Cal after the game and he apparently wants the world to know, "Tennessee is a tournament team...I'm telling you" He then went on to mention the other teams with a shot i.e. Miss St, Vandy, etc

I find it interesting that he has had very good things to say about our program three or four times this year. Its obvious CCM is starting to garner some serious respect among his peers.

He said it after the first game we played them. Now the media has noticed us and any ataboys will not hurt us because the committee watches these broadcasts also.

I think he believes UT is legit, but in Cal fashion he is diverting the talk away from his team everytime he gets the chance.

I thought his comments about the SEC tourney went along those lines as well.

I agree with his comments tho, this is a tournament team. Hopefully we leave no doubt next week.

Two wins and in. The tournnament committee will see the second half of the season, the road wins, and the record after Stokes joined the team.

I don't know, He has won a lot of basketball contests and is probably pretty knowledgeable about the game. I am sure the committee may appreciate him saying things about us.

Hi, welcome to internet message boards, where people start discussions about common interests. In this case Tennessee basketball, as we are all well aware this game directly effected our seeding in the SEC tournament, so it stands to reason that many of us would be watching the game in anticipation of the outcome. The fact that the head coach of the number one ranked team in the country brought up our program in a positive manner when discussing the SEC tournament speaks to how much this team has accomplished this season. That being said, fans are going to be excited because it means we are headed in the right direction especially in a season that 3 months ago was on life support. So yes, people are going to talk about it.

What Cal actually was saying was "I told you so." He's been saying we were a tournament team since we lost to them by 2 like a month ago.
