California Lunacy Thread

It's sad to see such a beautiful state be destroyed by some of the most ignorant people on earth 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

"It’s our choice to use if we want to use," resident Amy Brown said of the policy, which Democratic mayor London Breed proposed this week as a measure to fight the city's homelessness and crime epidemic that's causing businesses to flee.

"I want to cry just thinking about it," Shelly Brown, another resident, told the San Francisco Chronicle in interviews the paper conducted with drug users.

"What are they going to do, starve to death?" resident Clayton Johnson said. "What if they have kids? How are you just going to cut them off?"
Breed this week said the proposal would bring "accountability."

"We need to make a significant change," Breed said. "No more ‘anything goes’ without accountability, no more handouts without accountability."

"California has spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $20 billion to address the crisis of people living in tents and ramshackle structures on sidewalks, streets, freeway embankments, public plazas, pedestrian bridges, bicycle paths, parks, parking lots, and beaches."

20 Billion and it still looks like this.

To answer the "resident" above, if a "parent" cares more about his/her/its personal substance abuse than the kids in the house, then the kids will be better off in someone else's custody.

Having actually seen the result of kids being pimped out by their "parents" for drug money, I feel pretty confident about that assessment.

Phillips said it was a "moral imperative" for Lee to win the Senate seat, citing the scarcity of Black females in the Senate throughout U.S. history. But the writer said electing Lee would have other benefits too, besides making the upper chamber more racially diverse.

How much of the 20 Billion mysteriously found its way into the pockets of Newsom, his friends, and his family?

In Florida they’re trying to protect children and parents while in California they’re trying to protect Pedo filth.
the pro-Covid measures were also to protect the children.

I will trust the government, any government, with actually having the best interest of any of its citizens in mind when I am 6 feet under and they are using my SSN to vote.

You have to wonder how bad does it have to get before people begin a personal shift in their own politics and understanding of an incompetent govt.

Many of them are moving and voting for the same ish they just left.
Oh, I know. Approximately 500 people/families a month have moved to Tennessee from California in 2022 and probably the same this year. Although, most say politics is why they left. We will see if that holds up when the chips are down at voting time.

Is that where the phrase " you can't fix stupid" originated from?

Dude brought a house about a 1/2 mile down the road from me just seeing it off it's internet add. Didn't realize it was in the county so it had no trash service or sewer, he tried in vain to rally support for Gallatin to annex our neighborhood.

Not having sewer is a good thing. I'm on a Septic tank at my house and even at my business. Folks across the road have sewer and the bill is higher than the water.

I wouldn't mind being on sewer, it would free up some yard space for me to build a bigger pole barn but other than that I have no desire for sewer or trash service. It's damn sure not worth being in the city limits of Gallatin.

That's what kills me. We've had some yankees and people from CA move into our area and most of them I have talked to brought their politics with them even though they left because of them.
Did you point that out to them?
