fyp

if he gets rolling, look out. he never makes mistakes.

NASCAR too. It's not like it's very riveting when Kenseth wins. It's like the San Antonio Spurs winning. They just do it a little less flashy than everyone else and dull everything up.

did anyone notice how DW and the gang pointed out how "full the stands" were. Did they just give away tickets or something? Last I heard there was a turnout of 50,000 or so expected.

Yeah, it was like they made a point to say it. I didn't watch the whole race but they didn't see them scan the stands a whole lot from a overhead view from what I did see.

nothing to do with the team. two cars from the same shop with the same engine problem is a fluke. it certainly makes things harder for him, but they'll be ok the rest of the year from a reliability standpoint.
+1

The crew chief has yet to be the problem for the #88 team so far this season.

As for the race, I actually thought it was one of the best ones in recent memory. I love it when the cautions are kept to a minimum and the drivers are forced to chase each other down rather than just taking it easy and waiting for one of the usual, obligatory 10 or 11 cautions during a typical NASCAR race.

That is true unless a parts vendor produces defective parts that are used in all that teams engines. There have been examples such as weak valve springs, and I seem to remember someone having a problem with connecting rods a year or two ago. Maybe Gibbs?

I would not expect it to be a continuing problem either.

What a slow and boring week for NASCAR..........kinda reminds me of the Cali race. Hope something happens this weekend to get some stories started. I guess we've been spoiled with all the rumors and talk the last 2 years. Just about all NASCAR news here lately has been based on the state or the economy and how it relates to the sport..................
