UK football I can handle cause it seems that you have a very good classy football coach. As for Calipari, can't stand the guy. Never liked him at Memphis and still don't like him at Kentucky. He's the type of person that you just can't trust cause you don't know if you're going to be on probation the next day or not. Yes, he's made UK relevant these past few years but I don't believe he's the cleanest coach in the NCAA. It would be a shame for a great program like Kentucky who has a deep tradition in basketball get in trouble with the NCAA cause of a guy like Calipari.

I wouldn't say he cheats any more than Butch cheats at UT. In that a coach comes in, already having some good history (at evaluating talent/recruiting) into a program that can showcase it and support it. Calipari has obviously taken that to the extreme with nearly a #1 class every year, but the principle is there I believe.

Would I be shocked if UK cheats in some way? Nah. Would I be shocked if the same is said for the majority of other "elite coaches"? Nah.

Don't act like you aren't biased. You are one of the biggest UK and Calipari haters out there. Getting an objective opinion from you would be impossible on the subject.

I don't hate the university of Kentucky, I dislike cal, but my hatred is fueled by the fan base.

Not an issue. I personally love the UK environment, growing up in Lexington and now attending the school. I'm probably about as UK-biased as you can be. I completely understand the flaws in our school and the fans. I shake my head at a lot of them, but I take the good with the bad.

Honestly, what stir me away from UK was probably the 06 or 07 game at tennessee, I remember watching that game and being at aww with the Tennessee fan base, I've been hooked since then.

Kentucky basketball is great and you don't have to cheat to win... but in football you do have to cheat to suck.

The sad thing is, you probably know UK has cheated just as much as other programs, and still sucks so much lol. We shoulda been throwing Ole Miss money around, not 1400 :)

If so then yeah...whenever I see stadiums like Neyland I'm reminded how much of a difference there is in the programs.

He probably was talking about basketball. '06 was Bruce Pearl's first season at Tenn and Thompson-Boling was rocking every game.

The funny thing is the player they were paying for (David Paine) didn't qualify academically anyway and never even played college football. Just like Albert Means with Alabama, they paid for something they never even got.
