Calipari on Knicks want list

Didnt your old coach get fired for cheating and covering it up? In fact, weren't both your football and basketball coaches cheating before they were fired/resigned?

I was uncomfortable with Cal when I learned he would be the coach, but UK was aware of his rep going in and Sandy Bell (UK's compliance rep) does a great job. If they get busted in the future I will be pissed because they knew they were even a bigger target than before, but I believe (not know) that they know this and are careful not to push it.

I had heard about her. Never knew her name. Thanks.

Sandy Bell is one of the best in the Biz. She's not just compliance anymore, taking on some other roles as well in the AD.

Yeah, Bruce Pearl got canned for holding a cookout and then handling the aftermath incredibly poorly.

You guys want evidence on Calipari? Two collegiate stops and two programs placed on probation.

If UK hadn't been so desperate to win following the Gillispie debacle, they would have never looked in Calipari's direction.

Only one thing matters at UK (and a lot of other places)...winning.

not to mention 2 FF banners removed from UMass and Tiger High --- The Nets were an NBA powerhouse with him as a coach werent they ?

just put the Knicks logo on your avatar --Lin bandwagonner
yeah, I became a Knicks fan because of a over-hyped turnover machine. No way I became a fan because of men like, Benard King, Patrick Ewing, John Starks, and Charles Oakley. Bandwagonner is ironic seeing as you have that NYY logo under your name.......

Oh come now -- you leave Allan Houston and Ernie Grunfeld off your Knick list --- shame shame BTW I have been a NYY fan since 1976

Makes absolutely no sense, which really makes complete sense seeing most of your work on this board. It must be tough getting all those calluses on your knuckles from dragging them

Really ? It was either a Knicks fan or Ky fan -- since for some reason you were dead set against Calipari leaving Kentucky for the Knicks

I am a Knicks fan......have always been, Im not dead set against Cal leaving Kentucky. Im dead set on Cal not being hired by the Knicks because hopefully Dolan has had a moment of sanity and doesnt hire a guy who would not be able to take us where we should be going......a NBA Championship.

Thought I put Allan in there, he was one of my favorite Knicks, but Grunfield wasnt a great NBA player.....a great Vol, but not a great Knick. There are a ton of other great Knick players that I didnt mention like Mason, Latrell, and Larry Johnson, but the ones I mentioned have always been my favorite

Grunfeld did ok - I did follow the Knicks alot during the 80/90s - mainly because of King, Grunfeld and Houston ---

Ernie was a great college player, but didnt transition to the pros as well as Benard did. I think Ernie averaged less than 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist in his pro career.
