[FONT=verdana, arial, sans serif]Not sure what in the world the Temple comment was meant to say, but the same writer only picked Cal by 3.

On another part of the Fox website they pick the Big Orange to finish 9-3 and said this:

If quarterback Erik Ainge is merely competent, and the defense can avoid falling off the map after losing six of the starters on the front seven, Tennessee will be back to being Tennessee.

I think it's very smart to have the team there by 5:30 today.

I took the post I quoted to mean they were coming in late tonight, and I couldn't think why he would do that.

I guess though, it's smart to think "late as possible" would be early enough to still do a walk-through.

Interesting side-note I was in Knoxville yesterday and saw Cal fans driving around. I spoke to our hostess at Calhouns and she said that 300 had flown in yesterday and that another 500 was coming in today.

On that link to the Cal practice pictures one guy says it is a "bowl game" atmosphere.

In related news, Jeff Tedford says he is not worried about high humidity or temperatures. "We simulate 80 degree weather everyday in practice, it shouldn't be a big deal," Tedford said. Tedford and staff have been practicing with loudspeakers that push out hotter temperatures instead of simulations of 107,000 screaming fans.
That's hilarious. How do you "simulate" 80 degrees? :blink:Oh yeah, simulating humidity should be interesting also..

Hangovers? Yes. I get those. I'm not sure how old you are, but once you pass about the age of 27, they get worse too.

I've always traveled alot, so I usually don't get bad jetlag. The key to avoiding jetlag is to learn how to time your sleep. I went to Melbourne, Australia several years ago. That was a 16.5 hour time zone change from Phoenix, Arizona, where I live. I was the only person on that trip that didn't have severe jetlag.
I work in Chad Africa and travel to and from Houston Texas every four weeks and if you are not use to doing it there will be some effect. However I can't see it making that big of a difference with a late afternoon game.
