I think you are a little backwards on this burger. Usually drunk people fare better in accidents because of what you stated, but usually car accidents don't involve people drinking.
I drive under that overpass everyday on my way to work, news went nuts here when it happened. Just thank god he and the other driver have what appears to be a minor injuries from all this.
