Cam Sutton getting his first start

Did cam ever get stuck one in one with Gronk? Let’s not kid ourselves. Brady wasn’t avoiding Sutton, he was simply targeting his workhorse, the unstoppable Rob Gronkowski.

This! Why throw to a WR when Sean Davis couldn't stay with Gronk.

Cooks is one of the fastest WRs in the NFL. If he was open he would have been thrown to more.

Sutton wouldn't have been stopping Gronk either. When Gronk is on, he's the number one target. Brady was literally staring him down and throwing to him all night long.

LOL Yeah you have to laugh when you hear Brady put Sutton on an island to avoid throwing at the rookie with no starts. :eek:lol:

Gronk had 13 targets, he hates the Steelers.

I don't know why they didn't double him more.

It was really weird, no? I'm not going to say I paid close enough attention to see if they were just giving protection because they thought Sutton would get burnt, but the safeties definitely didn't spend much time on Gronk's side of the field. I don't know what the safeties were doing, I just know they weren't anywhere near Gronk for major chunks of the game.

He targeted Artie Burns quite a bit as well. Obviously Gronk was the go to guy but Cam was the least targeted corner eventhough he was on Brandin Cooks (the Pats #1 WR) for most of the game.

I would have expected Cam to have been targeted more. I thought that was impressive.

I know you're a troll, but no one can pretend Gronk isn't really just a giant WR and that he's the #1. That's all I say. Anything you say against that, shows your idiocy even more.

Cooks isnt the Pats #1 WR. Lol.

he's their number one receiving option. BY MILES. let's not pretend otherwise. It's just foolish.

Sheez, lifelong Pats fan here. Thanks for the obvious lesson. However this little back and forth started with D4 stating Cooks is the Pats #1 WR, which he is. Then rampant uh misunderstanding ensued. :hi:

No, you’re missing the big picture here. It’s ok though, live your little fantasy

On of the only guys I've seen hang with Gronk when he was healthy was Eric Berry!!! But EB is a whole other beast.

That’s why he lines up in the slot or even truly as a wideout so often. Go home, you’re drunk

I know where the man lines up, technically he's a tight end. I realize many of you don't know anything about the NFL or football in general, but thems the facts. Gronkowski is not a wide receiver. Wahhhh! :banghead2:

Forget about position. The point that’s trying to be made here is that regardless of whether or not Gronk is a receiver, Cooks is not the #1 pass-catching option on that team. If Brady doesn’t target Cooks all game, that has more to do with Gronk hogging the game plan than Sutton shutting down that side of the field.

Not here to argue, just trying to clarify for those who struggle with reading comprehension. Now you can get back to throwing sand at each other.

Good grief, this whole thing started because D4 said Cooks is the Pats #1 WR, which he is. Nobody made a comment about the Patriots #1 target, or most valuable receiver which Gronk obviously is. Do you people even read these threads FFS?
