your young, instant gratification sounds good..but the work and effort put into these young guys mean that they are gonna know they fought in a battle and lost but by the time the war(when the grad. form UTK) is over they just might go home with a trophy(nc/secc/contract).

Were you watching Big Orange football 2 years ago? They would have given up at half time. These boys fought HARD for 60 minutes against one of the best teams in the country. Feel free to jump on the TAMU bandwagon.

Of course I was proud before tonight. However, some on here seem to be less-proud after tonight. I'm more so. Butch took a bunch of freshmen into 88-5 land vs a playoff contender and they fought so hard they were 3 yards away from a 10 point game in the 4th quarter. We never laid down, never quit.

Yes. I'm proud, and not by a long shot did the score "lessen" my pride in 118.

I'm not. I'm just honest. Completely Honest. At that point in my life I'd never seen Tennessee with a losing record. And Eric Berry was heads and shoulders above anyone we had on the team in terms of talent or production. Thorpe Award winner as JR. should have won it as a sophomore but they gave it to the guy from Ohio State.. Jenkins I think. I just felt bad for him because he was so talented and could have been the type of player to make a contender a champion. Hated the fact that he had to play for some of the worst tennessee teams in history... until the teams that came after Berry anyway.
