I did not and will not feel good about tonight. In fact i feel darn right crappy after that performance. If the refs gave us that fumbled that we down right deserved it could have gone another way. Breaks my heart these boys have to play a top 5 team and the refs all at once.

breaks my heart even more we could have been in this game in the 4th quarter had we gotten that call and made a couple catches here and there. If Croom makes the catch on the first worley interception... which he should have.. (and we got the fumble which we should have)... its a 3 point game right there. 3 points. Instead its 17.

as is we got beat by 24, didn't cover, and didn't impress anyone outside of the state of tennessee.

I guess i can't be too pessimistic about it. At least we tackled them most of them time after they got completely free on the defense. In years past (just the last couple) there would have been 2 long touchdowns to go along with that 20 something yarder to the wide open RB to the start the game. Sutton ran down 1 guy and I think he may have run down the other... not sure.

Sutton looked great! He was everywhere all night! Played every down like a new one, didn't get discouraged and tackled clean and fast! His future is bright! Can't for him to lay out some Dawgs!
