Sorry if this is old news. CBJ was talking about him today on 104.5 the zone. He seemed very excited about him and said he has a bright future ahead of him. Talked about him being the model of consistency (which is surprising to hear about a true freshman), and that he would definitely be one of the starting CBs this year. Also said that he could see time in the return game (punts and knockoffs), which I take as a good sign about what type of athlete he is. I'm very excited about this young man after hearing how highly CBJs thinks of him. I think we got us a good one.

knockoffs?

He hasn't played a single down of college football yet, how do you know the recruiting services didn't get it right?

How do you know they did? I trust Coach Jones. He has had some luck with lower rated players and developed them into NFL guys and First Rounders.

I know he hasn't yet. I'm basing my opinion partially on the praise that Butch was giving him (if you heard the interview then you know how excited he is about Cam). And also on the fact that he is already one of the two best cornerbacks on the roster as a true freshman. I know a lot of people on here thought he was underrated when he was being recruited (and even b4 he committed so you don't think we were saying it just because he was committed to us). But I don't think any of us thought he would start right away. You don't see very many true freshman starting at cornerback in the SEC and especially when they weren't one of the top rated recruits in their class.
