Cameron Carr Transferring [Baylor]

Carr is a quitter. Good riddance.
.
Edit.. I want to believe it’s a mentality that we cannot understand, especially for a guy that for all we know bought into the system for 2 years. But the timing has me wanting to scream exactly what you said… unless he was afraid he’d hurt his stock only competing with limited minutes.

Lol what a sketchy dude Scott Drew is. Who knows what tampering he did in the Bahamas. Later Carr
That was my first thought as well. This seems somewhat out of left field and the connection through the Bahamas makes it really start to become a question.

In any event, he bailed on his team and lost a lot of respect and appreciation from Vol nation. Grass isn’t always greener, but I’m sure the $$$ is all the green he needed to jump.

Didn't do anything while he was here but soak up the hype due to his potential. At some point, it has to translate to the court...will be interesting to see how well he does or does not develop with another off season to improve.

Pretty unlikely Baylor ever gets back to what they were pre Covid if they’re counting on players like Carr.

Drew should’ve taken the UK job

His HS coach is on the Baylor staff now apparently so that might have been the connection. Either way, super sketchy of everyone involved and screw Baylor lol

I wonder when he started that job?

I knew a guy in the early 2000’s who was getting recruited to play D1 Hoops. His dad had job offers to coach in some capacity at almost every school that was offering him. Saw it happen with another guy at a slightly lesser level - to get him, they did the same with his high school coach.

Things that make you go “hmmmmm….”
