I wasn't trying to be a jerk. Just a difference of opinion. :hi:
didn't think that at all, good insight.I enjoy your posts. I shouldn't have said he had too much confidence, I just saw things all game from him that I myself didn't think was just a confidence issue. I am far from an expert. Haha! Thanks!

Bone > Woolridge = Bone > Tatum. Bone's gotta start. He's a Tennessee kid and it shows in his play. Great minutes tonight.

Bone plays the 2. Woolridge plays the 3.
Primarily of course, no real position in this crappy offense.

At this point, I just feel bad for the guy. He's a nice guy who really did work hard in the off-season...he's just in a slump and can't get out. I will say this though, the best way to get out of a slump is to hustle. (or sleep with a fat chick?). I'm not saying he isn't hustling, but you gotta find another way to help your teammates out.

Just for his mental sake, I hope he gets it back...like I said, I just feel bad for Cam!

Cam is a great athlete and would be very dangerous in last year's press-and-run offense.

UT is not really built to run a half court offense. There's no other excuse for S.Hopson to have 8 points on 9 shots.

Call me stupid, but I can't believe Pearl will let this year go by the boards without turning up the heat.

1. UT has been running the full court press for 4 years -- and well. We know how to.
2. We're 10+ deep. Even Woolridge could get into the act.
3. Chism is gone (and his 3 pointers).
4. As a teaam, we don't shoot very well from the outside.
5. Nobody has seen us run a press this year.

This team would be an absolutely pathetic pressing team.

Why does everyone hate on S Pearl? If you know basketball you know he is not a scorer. If everyone hustled like he does this team would be fine. You wont see Scotty dive after a loose ball.

Anybody who believes this is the measure of a basketball player should watch LSU. They hustle. They are not scorers. They dive for loose balls. They suck.

Because?

They aren't quick enough; we have a roster tailor made for half-court defense and rebounding not pressing and giving up easy buckets. There is no scenario where pressing would help us this year.

I agree but it would be nice to see them press the inbound and if they get it in back off. It would be good for a one game suprise.

Did he purposely miss that wide open lay up on the end-bound play? Talk about being in a rut. He must be cursed. I've never seen a player with his abilities tank so bad.

Starting line-up vs. Florida and the rest of the year should be,

Goins
Bone
Hopson
Harris
Fields

Oh, just in case you're curious, I don't think he's the worst player on the team, that goes to Trey Golden. If he throws another pass in transition to an "open" S. Pearl one more time I’m gonna throw up.... :jpshakehead:

DA!!! Tatum's shot has left him,but his defense on Clarke was exceptional. Golden hit the open guy and he scored,so ****!!!

This is about the 4th game in a row where I've noticed him just tossing the ball up (in a layup type scenario) and hope for the best. The last shot he took tonight, he seemed to concentrate on the outcome. Surely he's seeing this on tape. I think he's just a head case right now. He and Brian have to have an impact for us to have any chance for another win this season.

Whatabout all the charge calls? For crying out loud, how many do you have to pick up over the course of the year, in the same manner, before you learn. Over/under on charge calls for him for the rest of this tourney is set to 3.

I heard months ago that Tatum was on his second strike for smoking marijuana. Who knows if its true, but something has got his game screwed up. He is playing horrible.

Tatum played great D on Clarke yesterday. He can really cause problems with smaller shooters due to his size. On the other hand, his shot is really bad right now and his rebounding effort is not there either. He always seems to be a step too slow. He had 1 rebound last night and he is not going after boards hard enough. He lost a couple to UK players late in the game that could have made a huge difference. He lost a couple he had in his hands last night. He has to play harder. Josh Bone does not make the mistakes or shoot as many stupid shots as Tatum does. He deserves to be starting right now and hopefully Tatum will realize what he needs to do once he is benched and want it more.

Also, that's hearsay regarding Tatum getting busted for failing a drug test. I'm assuming Pearl would have suspended him, especially what happened to him last year. Another strike and he, Williams or Goins is out. Nobody here has any evidence of that happening whatsoever and some random poster posted it after hearing it from someobdy else.

Yeah, Pearl would have sent him packing. He simply will not tolerate any inappropriate behavior.

The pass I’m speaking about actually got tipped and was almost a turnover from the get go, but Pearl barely caught the tip and threw up an under the rim reverse layup while falling out of bounds that he missed. This has happened at least once a game I’d say... the previous caller said it best, he's open for a reason and this particular play has NEVER worked. The pass is either intercepted, pearl gets blocked by 1 of 3 guys playing defense on him or Pearl misses a wild layup because the ball never should have been thrown to him in the first place... it's his fault a little because he kind of bates Golden into throwing to him by "appearing" so "open".
