If we land him that'll be good, we will have the best shooters in the nation. tatum shoots 70%

I think that Ramar used up our last one, but we don't know what's going to happen with Passley.

I think things will work out because He wants to come to UT and with Passley skating on thin ice. I really believe he can't be back because he got caught red handed. So Tatum(if he gets the test score in order) will be at Tennessee :cross:

But say Passley stays at UT, what can we do about opening up a scholarship for him? I mean is taking away someones a possibility or if not and if no one transfers, what can be done?

We will have a scholly for him if he makes his grades. Pearl has the situation under control. He wouldn't have offered him in the situation he is in if he didn't have a scholly to give. I'm thinkin that either he will get rid of Passley if Tatum or Kiwan Smith qualify or he will tell him he can stay but not on scholarship. Both should be ranked in the 60-85 range in the nation.

But maybe he is not in the position to come to a school like Tenn and afford to pay for it thats the only thing. I dont know anything about this kid, but most athletes would rather go somewhere that they could be offered a scholarship...

how about we get rid of damion harris. pearl has said numerous times that he is not sure if he will ever be good enough to play at this level.

Yeah, but Harris hasn't did anything to deserve his scholarship to be pulled. He has worked extremely hard to get in shape. If we get rid of any, it should be Passley. Thats not to say that Childress/Howell/Harris doesn't transfer.

yeah if you yank harris's scholly for no reason that dont give you a very good image. the only person i could see getting there scholly yanked is passley

has pearl really said that he is not good enough to play at this level? i saw before the season where he said he could develop into a good role player but he just wasnt ready yet. and passley has been workin his a** off this season to get in shape so he could play this upcoming year.

Alright, pretty much time to drop this conversation. Brent Hubbs just informed me that there is no way Tatum will qualify and very unlikely that Kiwan will.

When do the final rankings come out? I know we are all hearing alot about having the #3 recruiting class, but when will we know...???

Most services will issue their final rankings around June 1. That gives them time to factor in the late signing period. Also, a good percentage of the questions about players qualifying academically will be answered with the end of the school year.

We have plenty of players. If Passley is still cut, this will just give us more recruiting flexibility next year.

In my opinion, I hope Passley stays. He made a mistake and I believe he will learn from it. He is a really good player and would get alot of minutes next year and really help the team. I say give him 1 more chance on a zero-tolerance level and roll with him. Everyone makes mistakes and I've always been a guy to believe everyone deserves a 2nd chance when they did nothing serious like kill someone. What do you guys think??

there is a rumor going around saying that there is no way tatum will be eligable and he will go to prepschool and be counted on the 07 class

My brother told me that Passely is supposed to have Lofton's shooting ability with Asumnu's athleticism

I guess that's how he ended up at UW-Milwaukee? He's a role player at best.
