What they did was serious, but not to the point where it will ruin the rest of their lives. The boys made a mistake that CAN be overcome. If he truly understands what he did was wrong and wants to make the committment to play basketball and put that behind him, I say give him 1 more chance.

Now, as I said before, Passley would help us out alot. I have seen the guy play and he is a really good player. Not quite the athlete of Stan, but a much better shooter and much better overall player...

Ummm, this could ruin the rest of their lives because they haven't been through court yet and could be put in jail for a long time. This may not be Pearl's choice.

True, but I think Passley will be able to get out of most of the trouble. From what I understand, the crack was in the driver's side door of Smith's car. He could argue he had no idea it was there and had nothing to do with that. Therefore, he could get out of most of the charges of crack and with the marijuana get out on probation. Like I said, I don't know all of the details myself, but this what I have heard and the way I understand it. I could be wrong though.

Every time an application asks them if they've been arrested, they now have to say yes and explain. And, that have not gone to court yet. This is something that will stick with them. I'm not saying their lives are ruined. I'm just saying that this will follow them wherever they go.

I may be wrong, but I have heard some of the same things that Taylor Moran has heard. He is apparently a very good athlete with a decent jump shot. Don't know if he is as good of a shooter as Lofton, though.

From what I have heard, he would have helped us out greatly at the 3 position this past year if he had been eligible.

No, you said Passley had Lofton's stroke and Asumnu's athleticism. So unless he is money from 25 and in and has a 40" vertical, I don't think that's accurate. Don't get mad if you have an opinion and people disagree that's life.
