Checker Neyland becomes a lot less cool/fun if you do it every game. It was absolutely awesome that this started organically for the Florida game in 2014, but the school needs to take this over and designate one game per year before the fanbase drives the concept into the ground.

Depending on the weather that might be difficult to pull off. If it is chilly people wearing jackets would probably throw it off.

Nah this shouldn’t happen. Crowd gimmicks are more of a warm weather thing anyways, but enough people aren’t going to have black UT stuff to participate, it’s just not enough of a color scheme for us.

I always participate in the crowd/color thing, but I wouldn’t just wear a black t-shirt to a game. Has to be something UT.

The orange and black will not show nearly as well as the orange and white did. Couple stadiums tried to checker with darker colors and it fell flat (and it wasn't Neyland)

I think we should only wear the gray or black once a year, not both each. I’m a traditionalist as well, but I’m betting the different jerseys is a play for recruiting and player excitement
