Yes we can. We can back count 9+ guys to last years class since they will be EE's and we have room for them.
How can you back count 9+? You guys signed 19 last year right? That leaves 6 that can be EE. You can only sign 25 per class. You can have 28 LOI's but only 25 are allowed to enroll in August. That means your max class size is 31 including the EE's, unless of course some of your guys didn't qualify last year. In which case you can sign another in their place, IF you get enough EE's.
Come on man, glass houses.
Yup. Glass houses. Let's take a peak at those houses since Dooley has arrived - and in the same time frame - what has transpired in GA. To be honest with ya UGA, I enjoy your post's and consider you to be one of the good guys,,,,'cept that ya root for the dawgs. To be serious,,,GA has pretty much owned the fulmer award this past year,,,and set the bar rather high for the next owner. Agree,,or disagree?
You can only sign 25 in a class, you can only back count in the SEC a max of 3 per year. You could sign 25 + 3 that arrive in January. That would give you 28. They could get commits from more but the extra would have to decommit, gray shirt, or not get a LOI on NSD.
This is how I understand it. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong.
2011 class. We signed 26 players, but 1 (Kent Turene) did not make it through the 'AA clearinghouse, therefore it was a total of 25.
2012 class. We signed a total of 19 players. Three of those guys were EE's and were back-counted towards the 2011 class. That means we capped the 2011 class with a total of 28, 25 original signees and 3 back counts from the 2012 class. That means that we really only have 16 signees that count against the 2012 class.
That's how we end up with 9 additional scholly's for this class (2013) because they will count against the 2012 class.
Again, that's how I understand it.
