Spurrier's in the drivers seat if you think about it in the East. He pretty much has the upper hand against Saban if they meet in Atlanta. Thoughts..... Can Spurrier pull it off this year?
Can Spurrier Win The SEC?

When your all-time football program resume starts and ends with "1969 ACC champs", I find it hard to say you have the upper hand against a team that has won 3 of the last 4 NCs.

What is Spurrier's record against Saban again?

1-3. 2/3 losses came in Saban's first two years at LSU.

I'm totally sure that those two losses came as a result of Spurrier's ever-changing, complex schemes. I'm sure that they had nothing to do with the fact that Saban had inherited a team from Gerry Dinardo that had gone 7-15 the previous two years, while Spurrier was closing out one of the best runs in SEC history. Has to be the former rather than the latter; it just has to be.

Oh, I forgot that it's all about winning until you don't. Then it's all about the circumstances.

Spurrier doesn't have near the teams at USCjr that he had at UF. He also doesn't have Alshon Jeffery to lob the ball to anymore.

Guys, Darth Visor success lives and dies by his QB. He hasn't had one since leaving Florida. Garcia was about as dependable as the QB character from the film "The Program".

This team is not designed to beat Alabama or LSU. They may have problems with Clemson actually.

Just my thoughts. Now, fight amongst yourselves.

My thoughts are Florida ends up winning the East. Catching it just right on the schedule.
