I know the Tigers only have two conference wins, but I don't believe Tennessee can afford to look past anyone.

The reason I bring this up is I heard Jason Shay on the radio this morning talking about the SEC Tournament, and maybe I missed it somehow, but I didn't hear him mention LSU at all. He was talking about a tough second round matchup with Ole Miss and how well they played Tennessee in Knoxville.

Thoughts?

I don't think Jason Shay is scouting LSU. He's scouting Ole Miss and/or UK probably. So that may be a reason he overlooked LSU.

Possibly, but I'd still expect him to at least mention the game.

Well it ties into what Pearl was saying last Saturday...something about how Ole Miss would be a tough matchup, yada yada yada.

I still don't think LSU will put up much of a fight.

I think the trick is to get the players to not look past LSU. This team has to remain focused and driven here on out. No excuses now.

I think if we want to play to improve our seeding and get maybe a 2 seed(not saying it happens but there is a small chance that it could) I think they need to not over look anybody in the tourney and take it as the old cliche' goes “one game at a time”

not to be a downer, but the Vols have not really handled momentum well this year. After impressive wins have come unimpressive performances. We finished the season a very nice little run, so it could be time for the flat game. I don't have much concern that we could lose to LSU - I mean, it's crunch time; if the Vols can't stay pumped from here on in, God help them. But I won't be surprised if it's a little too close for comfort most of the way.

LSU played us hard... We definitely can't look past them.

We played them in our 3 games in 5 days run and I am about 85% convinced we did not even have a working game plan against them and the only plan was to get out without losing.

You can't overlook anybody......You don't want to give a team like LSU any added motivation....I don't even know why either would mention anyone other than LSU...

LSU could be a trap. Let's hope the Vols aren't cocky and bring their best basketball.

If the VOLS play with as much intensity as they did Saturday for ten minutes and the first 15 minutes they did against Kentucky they can beat anybody. Intensity and focus will be the key. GBO!!!!!!!!

I do think the Vols will play LSU very hard. Our bench is really contributing now and Maze seems very controlled on the floor. Chism has said several times how much he likes playing at Bridgestone Arena. They having been playing there every year for some time now.

I was thinking the same thing when I heard him talking about Ole Miss..... If that's not a jinx I dont know what is.

I have a feeling this team will get bounced early from both tournaments. They over look less talented team like it's their day job. BUT if they somehow get by them, look out, because as we've seen, they actually "play" hard against better teams. we'll see....

yesterday Shay was interviewed about tourney and said Bo Spencer is capable and Tasmin Mitchell is all SEC and then moved onto the Ole Miss possibility. I believe it was the Dave hooker show.

I have been thinking the same thing. It seems like no one is talking about us playing LSU, it's only the 2nd round against Ole Miss. This really scares me too. LSU has nothing to lose. I can see us getting beat, but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

To look past anyone in the SEC is utterly stupid.
What was score the last time we played LSU, something like 56-52, I believe. They better not go in there looking past this team. Geez!
GO VOLS!
