I have said for awhile now that USCe has as many roster issues as UT does... With the improvement of UT's WR's I'm not sure they don't have more now.

Doubtful, unless South Carolina loses half its players to injury, as Georgia did.

We have a week off to regroup, hopefully this team can continue to progress after seeing some positives this saturday. USC has to go to Arkansas next week, then has to come to Neyland. IMO, we definitely have a chance, especially if we bring the passion/heart we brought today.

No. Tennessee will get curb stomped. Tennessee just had their hearts ripped out and they are in no sort of mental state to go into SC and win.

I am sure the loss hurts but the guys exuded confidence in the post game interviews. They see their own progress. They know how close they were to pulling it off. They know they belong on the field with the hyped teams now.

They're improving and this game was just one more step.

If they make the same improvement from this game to the USC game as they did from the USA game to the UGA game... It will be a happy outcome.

Honestly it could go two way. Yeah no sht right. If the team can put their hearts back in their chest and play a close game like they played today then yes. If the fold like we have seen the last couple of years then no.

I think so. I'd feel much better about it if Saulsberry is ready to go and the two CB's.

has anyone heard if DY is going to be back and Maggit ? i wonder who else are injured and might be back ? or getting back to game speed?

hopefully Jones is back up to speed also

Open date helps, but that will hard to get over

I think the open date is actually good after that game.

If we take the positives and prepare well we should have a good shot. USCjr having to go to Arky the week before helps as well.

Big game for this team, do we hit a wall or pull off a big win.

Yeah... cause UGA was the only team on the field today missing key players... Maggitt, Couch, Saulsberry, Lane, about 3 TE's, R Jones, Williams, and you could even consider how much difference Gordon would have made.

Any time UT suffers because guys get injured... folks like you come along and say "It's part of the game! It's part of the game!" But when it happens to an opponent then all of sudden it somehow cheapens good things UT has done.

Kentucky put 28 on them. Ain't scared. We'll win this. Team I'm most scared of is either Auburn or Mizzou. Vandy and Kentucky are locks IMO.

I'm finally proud of the way the Vols fought back and had a chance to win. Now can we pull ourselves up and beat S. Carolina?

Butch won't let these kids Sulk. He's got two weeks to get them ready and you can bet he will keep the fire lit.

We got a good chance against SC. We play them like we played today we will win. These kids showed that they are Good Enough today.

Lay another Brick Down. Butch is building a Winner BET THAT

Yes. With the home field advantage like the fans gave the team today, and the team playing the way we now know they are capable of playing, there is no doubt in my mind that they will beat SC.

Most of my info comes from here but it sounds as if Williams and Jones will be available at CB. Not sure about DY or Saulsberry.

IMHO, Maggitt will probably choose to RS but it would be huge to have him back.

Lane should be back.

Not quite sure what's going on with Couch but the last word wasn't good.

We will beat South Carolina.

They've looked pretty ho-hum all season. Here's their resume:

Beat North Carolina - A really bad 1-4 team - 27-10

Lost at Georgia - 41-30 not that close

Beat Vanderbilt - 35-25 meh

Beat UCF - 28-25 OK

Beat Kentucky - 35-28 not good

They will have their hands full with Arkansas next week.

Mizzou has a good O system. They are the least talented D UT will face this year and they don't tackle well.
