Come Saturday can we as a fanbase come together and support this team. I know we have our disagreements about the coaching staff, players and Everything else under this sun. But if we call ourselves the best fanbase in America. Let's show up and do it.

Supporting the team and just about knowing they're going to lose are two separate things... I support this team and watch every minute of every game, hoping for a miracle, a pick 6, a huge TD pass; but I can also step back, look at previous play from both teams and predict a likely outcome (one which I really hope doesn't happen).

You'd have an easier time getting a bunch of farmers to agree on something.

We are right on schedule 6 and 6 what did people expect, i agree with coach redshirting the pups, we will pay this year but we will be in good hands for the next 4 years.

Most people expected the current standing of 3-2.

What most people were hoping to see was a more competent offense, specifically the passing game.

What people fear is that this play will translate to unexpected losses, such as ones against Vandy or even Kentucky. Saying we're on schedule with 6-6 is debatable, IMO.

Why all the face palms, that just seems silly.

Oh wait...sports message board. Never mind!

But seriously....how could anyone possibly have an issue with this post?

for the life of me I cannot understand why people thought our offense was going to be like last years offense

No. I mean everybody will support & pull for the VOLS but in all likelihood we will get our ass handed to us Saturday & a lot won't like it for a wide variety of reasons. Winning cures all......or at least a lot.

JMO I think the underlying issue is people's definition of support. I think most get it, but if you have been on the boards long enough, you get the sense that if you didn't 100% know UT was going to beat Oregon, you're a negavol who deserves castration.

Supporting the team is watching/going to games, joining in on debate on this website/radio talk shows, sporting UT gear despite whatever record we have any given year, etc.

Sorry to burst your bubble but candy is not an unexpected loss.

I said more competent. We can't even get first downs or protect the football. It's hard to watch at times, but I always think in my head "we're gonna bust a big run this time" or "one long pass and Worley will get on a groove."

We support our team. That's why we get on here. We are just ready to win even though most of us realize we aren't that good right now. Butch is a solid coach with a winning record that will get us turned around, but just like 3-4 years ago...it's gonna take time. We're tired of waiting, but there's nothing else we can do. We're tired of losing, but we just aren't good enough yet. We're tired of being tired!!! Yet, we love our Vols and I expect us to be much happier in a few years, but for now....we're just tired of waiting.

Yep, they have my support. When they win, the kids get icecream! Should they lose, then we will console ourselves with semi frozen cream and sugar.

He simply said more competent. He never mentioned last year.
