Can we come together and support this team

Most people expected the current standing of 3-2.

What most people were hoping to see was a more competent offense, specifically the passing game.

What people fear is that this play will translate to unexpected losses, such as ones against Vandy or even Kentucky. Saying we're on schedule with 6-6 is debatable, IMO.

But the bottom line of what matters is that we ARE 3-2. I am pretty sure Dooley's team last year would have caved and lost to USA, but this one didn't. Just look at the Missouri game last year, the similarities are there, but the result is different.

I was attacked repeatedly last year on another board for pointing out that we almost beat USC and UGa with cries of "there is no such thing as a moral victory".

Well some seem to want to have moral loss in the case of USA. A win is a win.

I see what you're saying, but the Mizzou game was after the brutal beating last year's team took in October and a shootout with Troy.

IMO, we will really see how tough (or weak) this team is mentally when they play Auburn.

If you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter....

We only complain because we care.

Come Saturday can we as a fanbase come together and support this team. I know we have our disagreements about the coaching staff, players and Everything else under this sun. But if we call ourselves the best fanbase in America. Let's show up and do it.
. I still use us on NCAA does that count?

Go back and look at that Troy game. That was in Nov after a brutal Oct. UT was behind in that Troy game and came back and won with a few 4th down holds.

Most thought if UT got behind against USA or it went to OT then UT would lose.

Kind of sounds pretty similar to me with the same outcome with Dools or Jones.

No, I'm not a Dooley worshiper, but the facts are the facts.

I think most on here are truly supportive of the team. However, this is the third time we've hit the reset button on rebuilding after Fulmer was fired. Kiffin is gonna' bring us back in 2-3, wait...Dooley is gonna' bring us back in 2-3, wait...Butch is gonna' bring us back in 2-3. Folks are just frustrated.

I agree that we need to support our team win or lose. But it's hard to deny the last 8 years have done considerable damage to the psyche our fanbase.

No! We have to pull against CBJ so we can tell the "I told you so" Crowd, I told you so.

Sadly, it's hard to please everyone on here. They always seem to find something wrong with this team whether it's the offensive line, quarterback, or the coaching decisions. However I'm always positive about this Tennessee team and I believe they always have a chance to win any game. Yes that also includes Alabama. Go Vols!!!

Like most on here, I'm all vols, always been. But, just like the team needs to learn how to win, We need to learn how support and build regardless of results(to a degree). We need to learn to stop bashing players and staff. Let's be fans, not fans depending on .......... this and that.

We are right on schedule 6 and 6 what did people expect, i agree with coach redshirting the pups, we will pay this year but we will be in good hands for the next 4 years.

We play the rest of the season like the 2nd half last week = we don't win another game.

I support 'em and they're going to get their rears kicked in. Nothing I can do to stop it so I'm not going to get worked up trying to convince myself that there is any legitimate shot for UTK to beat the Dawgs. Odd thing is we both had losing seasons a couple of years ago and we had a head coach who was supposedly cherry picking top talent out of Georgia. Funny how things played out.
