Can We Even Take 27 This Year??? 85 limit??

I know the rules...ive stated them many times....

2 ee's backcounted... 25 enroll max rule + 2 backcounts =27 players for 10' class

i went back and looked...we have 60 scholly players that will be on the team for the 10' season....and yes i took away the bandits and berry....and yes i took away all players that are no longer on the team (13 from 07' class!)

that would put us at 87 players (if we bring in 27)...breaking the 85 max scholly roster limit....

am i missing something or has all of the constant debate about how many we can take in this years class been for nothing??? By my count it is a 25 max this year whether counting ee's or not....

Maybe we can sign 35 and have the extra just put on academic scholarships:p Would be cool.

As I stated we are missing 13 from the 07 class...I checked each class starting with 05' up to 09' with the roster from the athletic dept.

8 players from 06'
18 from 07'
15 from 08'
19 from 09'

=60 players that have schollys for 10' season

I've heard from numerous people close to the team that Poole is planning on transferring out. I've heard rumors on Gordon, but nothing concrete. I'm guessing beyond Poole.

So on my first MHF type post I have a total of 55 scholarships used.

Possible losses still brings the total to 57, however I am usually wrong once a year, and it's so close to the end so this is possible since it has been another stellar year. Any omissions or mistakes then I am allowed to be berated, and humiliated ever so slightly.

Dude, your numbers are waay off.

Talking to the OP here. footballhooters appears to have it mostly right.

he is missing Brimfield, vareen, c.walker, fowlkes,

i counted g.williams twice...he was in 3 diff. classes...

I don't think reveiz has a scholly?? any one know for sure...? and is Rogers coming back...i counted him also...

so the number is 58 schollys without counting rogers or reveiz...60 counting them....

and about my numbers being way off...do some homework before you throw comments around...you were a little fast twitch on that one...

I can promise you (and you have the numbers correct) there will be far more than 2 players supposed to return that do not return.

You really have nothing to worry about. we are taking 27...

It is insanity we only had 3 OL picked up in 2007 and 2008 combined. Just inexcusable under the direction of a head coach making $2 Mil/year.

Didn't we have some TE transfer in from somewhere that sat out this year? I imagine he will probably be on scholarship next year.

Btw, this is the first I have heard that Eric Gordon may be transferring out of here. Any reason as to why this rumor has started?

Are you thinking about B.Warren?? He was dismissed from the team this year...

And the word is that Gordon was unhappy about the way things played out for him this year...

Eric is not transferring. the TE walked on from Miami
