you can sign 28 but only bring in 25 for the fall.... 30 and 27 including backcounted ee's...

backcounting only applies to the 25 ships:

25+2 = 27 is OK

28+2 = 30 is not OK.

28 is the most you can sign to an LOI (or grant in aid for EE's) in a year. No backcounting on those.

I doubt any decisions have been made on certiain players elaving. There are likely players who are thinking of leaving but until teh time arrives to pull trigger, I wouldn't say they have decided to leave.

Players who are entering their 4th or 5th year on campus and are not contributing are likely candidates to leave. They may transfer or may just opt to give football up. Some who have been here elss thatn that might also leave.

I'm pretty sure we are likely to have a few kids who go the violation of team rules route and have to leave.

Before we kicked off Western Game, we had 11 kids who left the program for one reason or another. I doubt we have 11 leave by UT-Martin but 6-8 would not surprise me at all.

can sign 3 more in your scenario but we would have to place them.

7 of that 23 were open scholarships this year (3 of which opened up druing the season). the other 16 were still scholarships and many will return next year (like Reviez and Frazier). His comment was not in relation to recruiting but available ship players this season as the season went along.
