Rivals has us with 16 commitments right now including the early enrollees. With all the drama going on with us and coaching departures, can we sign 28 on NSD? Do we take anyone just to fill out the class?

My concern is our roster is already way short of the 85 limit. I believe we are 22 players below now due to dismissals and players leaving. We sure don't need for this recruiting class to be short.

considering we won't have 26 commits i don't think you need to worry about it.

Sims is back=counted, so really we've only got 15.....we could bring in like 13 more........if we don't start picking up alot of commitments in the next week, it's going to be tough.......

In a word. No, Hopefully will get quality instead of quanity.

Well I would normally agree but we need quantity just to field a team, let's face it we need take bodies just to build back up our depth which is severely lacking.

As we have seen a lot of things can happen in a week and a half. We just need to be patient and hope for the best, but one thing is for sure we owe a lot of support to these young men that have stuck with the vols through this difficult time.

Don't think so, we'll be lucky if we get 22 in this class. Only way we get to 28 is to start offering letters to every 2 star that is not currently committed.

If we are just going to offer spots to fill a roster they need to be Tennessee kids that their dream has been to be a Vol. They will play with more heart than these 5* guys ever will.

lol @ you gloom and doomers. We'll have at least 25 in this class, book it. We'll get a handful of guys we were hoping for and a handfull of guys we weren't aware CDD was looking at and/or nice homerun suprises. Plus we're currently sitting at 14th on Rivals, once we add those other 9-12 guys we'll have a top 10 class. Count on it.

No way on a full class. You have had 2 major recruiting weekends in January where you only have half of a coaching staff and can not tell players who their coaches will be. DD should have focused on naming coaches first then going after recruits.

If we are short of the alloted amount, why would we not just start offering to best of what is left? As some have said, we need bodies. It is not completely out of the question that a 2-3 star recruit turns out to be All-SEC.
