Can We Give Diamond D. Credit

Diamond has finally started playing as a team member,I think the so called "chemistry" is starting to finally gel,of course that has a lot to do with all the missed playing time this year by a host of Lady Vols

Russell needs to be able to box out a lot better, she is just flat out of position a lot of the time, every time I see her out around the free throw line,I keep wondering why ?is that to help free up Graves under the basket ? I'd much rather see Graves out setting screens and Russell staying home under the basket

I'm not sure what is going on with Nared,we all know she is a better player than what she has been showing lately, what was the injury that kept her out earlier ? I wonder if there is still a lingering problem there, but she seems to be healthy,or it could be the missed time playing

it would have been great to see Nia or Mercedes put on about 20 pounds of muscle, maybe 30 for Mercedes :) Nia plays hard as hell, but doesn't have the weight to help box out

as gule says

FREE NIA :)

I keep hearing how bad Emily Schubert is so I decided to look at her utube videos. Mind you I know that only her best videos were available. This young lady has potential with the right coaching. She moves pretty good for a 6'4" post and has a good shot from ten feet in. She seems to have some toughness and is active in the post. She seem to display more mobility than Russell. She is a three star so one can not expect her to come without the need for coaching. She appears to be smart and has some girth. Seems to move better than Nia moved when she was a freshman. We have zero recruits and sometimes you have to take a chance. I believe that this kid has some potential. We don't want to be blinded by 5 stars all the time. 5 stars are nice if you can always get them but the LV's need to also take looks at 3 and 4 stars. Sometimes you recruit on potential knowing that you may have to coach up some players more than others. Good coaches can not only coach top players, they can also coach potential.

We should offer Emily S immediately, but I'm not sure our entitled head coach believes in taking chances. She goes for the sure bet, then proceeds to destroy her skills. I love the three-star recruits who will fight for every second of playing time.

Holly, the pressure has never been greater in your entire career. Throw caution to the wind, get off your lazy tail, tell Jolette goodbye, hire an offensive minded assistant, recruit harder, clean up your act and get this program headed in the right direction.

Or kiss your fat salary and head-coaching career so long!

I wonder just how good that set of twins Schubert plays with would be without a 6'4" bailout policy on their side? My thoughts, I'd say for sure they wouldn't be undefeated and going for a state championship, not even close.
