Easier said than done and the SEC knows this. This is not confined to basketball or football alone or even to the SEC, but with the billions of dollars flowing thru the universities and the NCAA they would do the sports far more good in developing full time professional referees that would be highly paid, and highly trained and highly reviewed and responsible entities. It would cut into their profits, so you therefore have enforcement committees that concern themselves with barbecues and jet travel rather than a move that would be beneficial to the fans’ enjoyment of the game.
We literally stunk it up last night. I watched a 6’ 5” player out rebound our entire team on offensive rebounds. This was 100% on us.
Just thinking about the mindset of someone who sees a thread with a title indicating that it's about the refereeing, in the middle of a bunch of threads that already talk about player performance, and thinking, "oh yes, I need to come in here and make this about what is important to ME! MY opinion is the most important! ME! ME! ME!"Pat Adams intentionally stands in front of our rebounders throughout the game. That's also
why JJJ and SV bricks their shots, not to mention causing Aidoo to lose his grip on the rebounds!
We would be undefeated if the referees were not in a conspiracy to keep us from a low seed.
Da_ _ refs! every game!
“Alarming” seems a bit dramatic for a team that would be a 2 or 3 seed if the tourney started today. We had a shít game. We’ll be fine. We’re at least a sweet 16 team, and with a good draw we’re finally four capable. This game was lost in the first 4 minutes of the game, TAM was ready to play for some reason we wasns't and that alarming.
You come across as illiterate when you to respond this way after the OP states, “I’m not blaming him for the loss…”Pat Adams intentionally stands in front of our rebounders throughout the game. That's also

In conference games, Vols have had Adam’s twice. Home vs. Carolina and at A@M. We lost both games if that means anything. Saturday night we got outplayed, flush it and move to the next one. They shot well, we didn’t. We will be ready for them when they return to Knoxville. I personally think Adam’s is better than Doug Shows but neither are my favorite. We seem to play really well when we have Don Daily. We are 3-0 with him. Home vs. Ole Miss, Home vs. Florida and at Vandy. Maybe we will get him a couple more games. I like Terry Oglesby too.Adams certainly seems to referee a lot of Tennessee games every season.
He's certainly a great rebounder but I zoned in on him some while he was working to get position, he has got it down to an art he knows when the refs are watching play away from him pushes/shoves off a lot but he's very good at it. One time he body slammed Vescovi, and the ref saw it not sure if he thought SV was faking or what. He knows how to navigate the rebounding waters in regards what he can get away with, no doubt. We literally stunk it up last night. It's just that "fans" like you are always quick to blame the refs for all things that go wrong. You come across as illiterate when you to respond this way after the OP states, “I’m not blaming him for the loss…”
Can you point me to where I blamed the refs for our loss? We played poorly and deserved to lose. Also, pat sucks. It’s not a mutually exclusive thing. It's just that "fans" like you are always quick to blame the refs for all things that go wrong.
Shows how really unknowing you are when it comes to basketball. Even after replays show
the refs are correct 90% of the time.
I know at least one person in real life who is like this: a bigger fan of the refs than the game. It's going to be awesome when we automate the refs out of existence. It'll be frustrating for a bit as we adjust the rules to account for eerily consistent calls, but we won't have to worry about some folks trying to bring "the human element" to a game that already has 10 humans on the court. It's just that "fans" like you are always quick to blame the refs for all things that go wrong.

My biggest complaint with Pat is not that he makes bad calls, it’s that he tends to control the game with calls rather than let the two teams control the tempoTwo of my best friends are an Arkansas fan and an Auburn fan. Funny enough, they both say the same thing about Pat. It seems universal that everyone hates him.
I’m not sure anyone said he causes all our loses. What has been said is he is a terrible ref. Not only does he make bad calls he makes it all about himself. He is on air more than any ref in the SEC.Pat Adams intentionally stands in front of our rebounders throughout the game. That's also
