Can we talk about Martin's use of timeouts?

From a fan's perspective, it's maddening, and he's been doing it throughout his tenure here. Just when you start to jump up and down, our coach stops the game. It's different when the opponent calls timeout, because we forced him to call it. So, there's still a reason to cheer.

He calls a timeout to stop our momentum. But let the other team go on a run and he just sits there and does nothing. I think he has it backward

He's terrible at strategy so the time out backfired big time as we did nothing the rest of the game

I think we took three timeouts to dinner after the TAMU game.

Martin is a very intelligent man. He just can't coach a nut out of a shell. But he can drive a sane man to drinking. So with that being said. This roller coaster ride isn't over. He will be the coach next year. This team will slip into the tournament. Get blown out in the second round. The AD will give him a stupid raise. He will suck to Dooleyville next year. They pay a ridiculous buyout. We get another second rate coach. The fan base still cries for Gruden and Pearl to be in Knoxville. The woman's team finally makes another final four appearance. The softball team wins the title. The baseball team makes the post season. And the pilot executives get away with another scandal. And after that is all played out. Most of the fan base is so drunk they could care less that Bama just landed another #1 recruiting class. Kiffin becomes coach in waiting at Bama. And our beloved Vols finally finish the football season ranked again. I told you. He can drive a sane man to drinking.

Did anybody notice the first three by Florida was in transition and the second by Wilbekin was when Martin for some unexplicable reason switched back to man-to-man? From WBZT 22 "Florida held a 53-46 lead midway through the second half but went nearly seven minutes without a field goal as Tennessee switched to a 1-3-1 zone defense and cut the deficit to 55-54 on Stokes' three-point play with 4:32 to play. Frazier ended the drought with a 3-pointer a minute later and Wilbekin made it back-to-back scores from beyond the arc on the next possession to help put it away."
