Not like right now kinda thing... but all this rhetoric about the "extremists" and a declared state of emergency, I have this feeling they will use overwhelming force to remove them when the word is finally given.
Like our own reasonably peaceful Bonus Army was evicted from D.C.
Gotcha. I posted earlier that I expect some undercover police to go in and start some ish, acts of vandalism and violence so it looks like the protests turned to riots. That would give the .gov the cover to go in and put this thing down.
It wouldn't surprise me if they went as far as to kill a cop in order to get that justification... If that happens, we'll see if these protesters start walking away and trying to distance themselves.Gotcha. Huh? I don't think they will have a chance to do much of anything, once the violence starts the cops will be on them quickly. At this point an example has to be made.
Demonstrators "exhibited extremely disruptive and unlawful behaviour," police said in a statement, which created "risks to public safety and unacceptable distress" for residents.
At least seven arrests were made Sunday in the city and at least 450 citations issued since Saturday morning, the Ottawa Police Service said, including for excessive honking, driving the wrong way or on a sidewalk, not wearing a seat belt, having alcohol readily available and having the improper class of driving license.
Five of the seven arrests were for unspecified mischief. A sixth person was charged for driving while prohibited and a seventh for mischief "relating to property damage of a downtown business," police said in a press release
