New Zealand Protest Convoy Blocks Capital: Demands End to Vaccine Mandates

Hordes of vehicles blocked streets around New Zealand’s Parliament on Tuesday, in a protest mirroring others building around the world demanding an end to coronavirus restrictions and vaccine mandates.

An estimated “hundreds” to over a “thousand” vehicles have surged into the capital of Wellington with authorities reluctant to move them on or arrest them due to fears about the “safety” of their “staff.”

New Zealand’s leftist Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has declined to meet with the convoy, saying she is too “busy” to meet her opponents.

Vehicles in the convoy included cars, trucks and motorbikes and displayed signs such as “Jabcinda we know you sold your soul to the devil”, “Stop the mandate #Freedom” and “Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful.”

The only other entity that could move the trucks is the military and so far, Tredeau has resisted calls to bring them in. But it is probably only a matter of time. That said, the logistics of moving that many trucks is not inconsequential

Far-Left Activist Identified as Suspect in Canada Protest Hit-and-Run

Winnipeg police have identified far-left activist David Alexander Zegarac as the driver accused of running down four anti-mandate protestors on Friday.

Zegarac, 42, was arrested Friday at around 10:30 p.m. after a Jeep struck a group of four protesters at Winnipeg’s Memorial Boulevard at around 9:30 p.m. that evening. Authorities temporarily hospitalized one of the injured protestors, while three others suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.

The assembly was a peaceful protest against civil rights restrictions imposed in Canada in the name of stopping the Chinese coronavirus.

I don't think it is Trudeau resisting. I think some of their military leaders outright said they would not move on the protestors.

Honestly I think it’s kinda sad that we had to get two years into “Two Weeks to Stop the Spread(tm)” until people started rising up and give the governments a collective two gun salute. But now that it’s started and taking root in several countries if one government comes down heavy handed that could be a major spark.

And if you think about it the movement starting in the truckers makes perfect sense. These are a bunch of people that chose a career that is somewhat out of the usual conformity mold. I think they are collectively pretty individualistic in their views. And they absolutely are the grease that keep the urban population centers moving. Piss them off to the point that they cease to replenish the store shelves and our population centers quickly become uninhabitable.

I said it before but if I am a trucker and worried about getting arrested, I do something to disable my truck without ruining it. Go find the cops, make a formal statement that i am not part of the protest, my truck is inoperable, but it cant be fixed due to the protest logistic issues. Here is my number, let me know when you clear the issue and I can get to my truck to fix it.
