Crazy. In 2020 VN posters were convinced blocking traffic and camping on public places during protests was wrong. Somehow it's OK now.

Right... I seem remember people saying protesters blocking the interstate in Nashville (with help from law enforcement) deserved what they got. I also remember the freedom-loving Tennessee legislature and governor enacting a law making it a felony for protesters to camp in War Memorial Plaza or other public places. They were not killing people, burning buildings, or looting stores.

maybe context would help .. if I don’t care that the drug cartels own the streets in Juarez why would I care if the truckers block the streets in Ottawa ?

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is aiming to get ahead of a planned demonstration in America, "tracking reports of a potential convoy" amid several Canadian truck protests against COVID mandates.

The agency "is tracking reports of a potential convoy that may be planning to travel to several U.S. cities," a DHS spokesperson said in a statement to Fox News Wednesday. The department has "not observed specific calls for violence within the United States associated with this convoy, and (is) working closely with our federal, state and local partners to continuously assess the threat environment and keep our communities safe."

The warning, according to certain senior law enforcement officials and documents obtained by the outlet, revealed that "the convoy could severely disrupt transportation, federal government and law enforcement operations through gridlock and potential counterprotests" as truckers make their way across the United States.

I think it's different to shut down a city by perimeter parking compared to an angry mob standing on a freeway waiting for someone to stop so they can jerk them out of their vehicle.

The difference is the city is shut completely down by vehicles parked. No canadians are standing in the middle of freeways and kicking peoples cars or yanking them out.
