You don't want to give James any benefit of the doubt, hat? OLine has a lot to do with it. He went from very productive last year to what he is this year.

Backs, like power hitters, seem to go all at once. I'm not saying he's done. Just pointing out that he's at a point in his career when a precipitous decline would not be shocking. Especially for a guy who had a knee rebuilt.

Anyone catch Green's post game news conference?

Don't worry if you didn't, you'll be seeing it a lot in the future.

With an added twist of "We knew who they were!" plus a shoving of the mic stand. Good stuff.

Just heard the clip on the radio...

Matt Leinart proves he's for real, Chicago proves they're the best team in the NFL, the Cardinals prove they're still the Cardinals and Denny Green proves he can yell.

and Rex Grossman proves he's another good Florida quarterback who's not neccessarily a good NFL quarterback.

i turned the game off late in the 3rd qtr, and woke up this morning and my wife told me the Bears won....couldn't believe it....saw the highlights. what a finish. reminded me of hte TB/Indy game a few years ago....another example of why you shouldn't go to bed on a MNF game....

Yeah... Devin Hester coming up huge, doing what the U was waiting for him to do his whole career there. Return a game-winner. I don't think it ever happened? Oh well.

Then I start listening to Mike and Mike last night, and whoever does the Sportscenter updates butchered his name... Devon Harris or something.

Hester had an awfully important TD return against the Gators in '03.

Forgot about that one... Every year at the U, it seemed like he was the toast of the ACC preseason then you didn't really hear about him too much the rest of the season.

True. They never really figured out where to play him. DB? WR? RB? They just couldn't make a decision.

Props to Dennis Green for making Bill Parcells appear laid back.

One observation: I believe that Edge is starting to hit that wall that most backs hit around 30.

No one in the NFL has ever rushed that many times for that few yards in a single game. It's crazy. In Indianapolis, it seemed like he got six yards so consistently. He rarely broke them over 20 yards, but he never got tackled for a loss and always eked out something. He wasn't the best short yardage back. That's about the only knock I had on him. It's hard to believe he looks sub-mediocre in Arizona.
