Carlus Groves should be on...

Carlos Groves played his entire HS career at Cross Plains in a small school called East Robertson. His many trophies and pictures, along with team championship banners, adorn our school at present. Our school is off exit 112 on I -65 North, we are no where in the vicinity of Crossville. Our closest "big city" is the county seat of Springfield. He was an outstanding player that made our small community proud. Our games were packed to capacity in the seasons he played.

Do you know Melvin?

I'm not sure whether you are correcting or agreeing, but OK.

I live in Hopkinsville, KY. Robertson Co is off of I-24 for me.

My highschool handed East Robertson its first home loss in something like 183 years when I was playing JV ball. Groves played in that game. Of all of the crackerbox gyms I have ever seen, E Robertson was probably the crackerboxiest.

University heights?

Yes. That was somewhere around 1987, I think.

Did you ever play against Fred Tisdale at Logan county? Best player they ever had but got busting stealing his first year of college and was kicked out, so I've been told TIFWIW.

Logan Co Kentucky? If so, then maybe. When did he play? The best player I saw from Logan County was Bubba Wells, who played hs ball for Russellville.

I was in middle school dressing for JV when we went to East Robertson. I graduated in '92.

Tisdale played at Logan in the early 80's. They won state in '84. My cousin Robert Wynn played with bubba wells and Otis Key at Russellville back in the day. They were pretty good.
