With millions (and millions) to come in between. He can bounce around as a backup at worst for years. Stop telling people how to spend their money and assume they dot have portfolios
Pretty sure he's just playing on the fact that near 80% of professional athletes are broke 5 years after they stop playing. It's mostly due to the lavish spending as he mentions. Don't be so butt hurt for facts.

lol people making far more than Beck have gone broke.

at best you are making just as much of an assumption as he is. The difference is he has stats, and some proof of wild expenditures. you have zero proof about his "portfolio".
I never claimed to have his portfolio, that’s the point. His “wild expenditure” was something easily within his earnings, easily within his net worth. But because no one here can afford such things, he’s automatically labeled a fool.

I know how Beck feels. The catalytic converter was stolen off my 2004 F250 last year. Probably by the same Chilean gang. Sure runs loud without it!

Beck’s agent claims Beck will make close to $10M in 12 months. That is not counting what he already made at Georgia. Is it really a wild expenditure?

We got people making less than $100k a year buying $40k vehicles out here.

isn't the saying "a fool and his money are soon parted".

seems applicable here.

and again most of the sports athletes go broke buying things that was easily within their earnings. the problem is stopping when the income starts. Beck starting those purchases/earnings in college doesn't mean he is any more or less immune to the issue as "professional" athletes.

the 40k car for the 100k earner is something they likely need. I know he was at Georgia but you are going to have to explain how Beck needed a sports car for his job. especially two of them. Not saying he shouldn't have 2 pricey cars, just saying its far different than someone buying their daily driver. and I don't know if you have been car shopping recently but 40k isn't a luxury car, a new Camry is right below 30k.

if Beck had bought something he needed, or was an appreciating asset, we wouldn't be making these same points. well, at least I wouldn't ,I can't speak for the whole board.

I think its a much different story if he bought his dad a 100k work truck, and it got stolen. or if he bought a 400k house for his mom and it got broken into/burnt down by an arsonist.

Seriously. Camry/Civic.

What's actually crazy is all the people driving around in 70k trucks making 60k a year, financed for a decade at 9%.
These trucks and SUV’s are crazy expensive. I had a Tahoe that I bought used back when I was in my early 20’s . Was only 2 years old and had about 25k miles on it. It was less than $20k. If I tried to buy a 2023 Tahoe w/ 25k miles it would be $60k + easily.
