There was NEVER a rebuilding process. With the advantages like this, to start a coaching run (Fully loaded roster to begin with, complete staff, high profile university, McDaa's still line up at our door, no chance of being fired, etc, etc!)...There is no excuse for her not to be a legend.

Mikey, you ARE 2 Smart for all of us........in your own mind.........and so full of class.......because I have a different opinion of the direction of the program, I should KILL MYSELF.......not one of us that want a better coach for the girls, want the program to fail......you are making that up to justify the fact that CHW is the problem.........nice job Mikey

heard,,,read,,,and even considered,, by more than you know...But,
most are silent.

T, you and I not in unison. I have no animosity or hate towards CHW herself. I try to never attack her personally and try to only post from my perspective ,, being the views of Coach Jumper..a lifetime girl's basketball coach.

As a coach I look at CHW, her staff and this run, from these perspectives:
-Is there something obvious?
-How do I think I would perform if I were given the particular scenario to coach in (as an assistant or HC)?
-What do I bring to the table?
-and, WWCJD?

I wish you luck in your quest.......I also hope that you are not insinuating that I have or have shown animosity/hate toward CHW.........some on here equate criticism of our coach and her performance as a coach as a "personal" attack......it is not........as I have stated many times, Holly should have a position with UT as long as she wants one, but unfortunately Head Coach should not be that title........and Lord knows I pray she proves me wrong.........


Oh, by the way, the "deft ears" statement was in reference to the "winning is everything" issue........at this level, IT IS!!

When I posted on this site for the first time two years ago, I had my rival posters. . . Some of them show back up from time to time, but most no longer post. At some point you, either gain credibility and are only challenged by newbies, or you move on. . . . Down the line, people only remember "that" they know you, the reason they remember you, often becomes irrelevant.

Winning is only "not everything" if losing is more of a benefit, at that precise moment. And the losing process has to be orchestrated and is not happening on its own.

I am one who has virtually stopped posting about Holly because of such vitriol spewed back at those who dare to point out that she has fatal flaws as a head Coach.
As you have pointed out Holly was handed a Championship roster from the get go and has had a minimum of 6 All Americans on every team she has coached.
She should have been an SEC and National Championship contender every year that she has been head coach but her record has been stamped in history as going down hill every year in the way of wins and losses and no where close to being a Championship contender the last three years at any level.What has become obvious to any objective observer who has a modicum of basketball knowledge is the only thing good that Holly has become is an excuse giver or simply " I have no idea " what is wrong after most losses incurred.
I will give her credit for the last two recruiting classes.
Lets see what she does with them since it is obvious that she will be the Coach at least next year....at least that is what the scuttlebutt is that AD Fulmer will extend her contract.My hope is that any buyout is not extended in this contract so that she could fade into the sunset as another Coach Emeritus or as another poster said in another position.I admire what Holly has done as a Lady Vol player,30 year assistant head coach and her devotion to the Lady Vol BB program but she is not a head Coach.....well she is but it is in Name only...that can develop teams that can compete for championships.

She can prove me wrong by what product she puts on the floor this year and compete for SEC and National Championships...lets see what happens....

In a big way I am sorry I stirred up some rancor here....

Let me start by saying that in no way was I trying to initiate a suggestion of logic.... especially of the kind you note by juxtaposing Kim and Holly....

And even though I never take offense at other people's comments or opinions.... I felt a pretty direct hit from you in your message at 4:28,,,,, "sports fans like yourselves... if you can call yourself one... etc".... and then made the butt hole and negavol references....

Yes facts are facts.... and you are absolutely right... the Notre Dame win was very good... and as I remember it is the best I saw Mercedes play in our uniform... I have expected more "signature" wins than that over the tenure of the present coaching staff.... and if that labels me a "negavol" in your eyes... so be it....

Again..... I am you retain your passion.... and I salute you for that

Again the comment was about the opinion you have not of you or a personal attack on you. I don't know you, I can only perceive who you are based on your comments on this thread.

Secondly, I can also apologize if what I said offended you but again that wasn't the intent. The intent was to let everyone know that we all have an opinion of what is right/wrong with program. My only thing is that those that wish for Holly to fail by default also wishes for the program to fail. If you wish for Holly to leave and these recruits are verbally stating that the reason for their signing here are based on her as the coach, that in turn says you want them to leave with her. Fans aren't the only ones that read this message board, and due to the negativity throughout the season I'm glad Holly has a no social media policy during the season so that they don't have to view or deal with the true feelings some of their "so-called fans" are saying about them publicly. I just want you all that have never coach a game, teenager or young adult in anything to think before you speak because it isn't as easy as you might think. Speaking from experience.

At least Mikey did not tell you to go out and commit suicide...........some people need to learn that someone commenting that the program/CHW is failing is not WANTING CHW to fail......

Mikey Just getting on here again, and i see your gracious and kind words Thank you.... I love reading all opinions... and that includes all you have to opine....

No offense was ever taken,... and I want to see the program take on an upward trajectory...

The start of the WNBA season makes me think of the NCAA season, especially out here where we have a team with an orange flavor to it....

That would be a travesty and.a tragedy all rolled up in one. She simply does not have it to coach up her players. Look at how many of our ladies get cut at the WNBA level that Holly has coached. I look at Russell who was cut by New York and was only brought back because of injuries. A lot of that deals with Holly’s inability to make her players play tough. I think this places her players at a disadvantage.
