It's hard to beat the same team 3 times in one season, which Florida almost proved today. If UK plays the way they did these last two games, they could go down. Either way, they are the #1 overall seed at this point.

First time Vandy has been to the SEC tournament finals since 1951...i think that's also the last time they won it

True. They are #1 overall seed regardless.

If Vandy shoots the 3 as well as they did today, they will do more than just upset kentucky.

Either way UK will be the overall #1 seed. They're really just playing for another piece of hardware tomorrow.

Much bigger game for Vandy as an upset could give them a big boost in tournament seeding.

What would be better? Bulldogs? Tigers? Eagles? Trojans? Spartans? Something else completely devoid of originality and having nothing to do with Tennessee and its culture?

Tennessee and culture in the same sentence. Irony at its finest.

Again, because "volunteers" is such a great name for a sports team compared to "bulldogs, eagles, falcons, gators, tigers, wildcats". etc.

It's based on the state's nickname; one it earned due to a huge/massive number of people enlisting during the war of 1812 (and i think either the Mexican-American War or the Spanish American war)

Not saying through that any one of these names are better than any others.

I actually do know that TrueOrange, it's a pretty cool thing imo.

I just don't see why it had to be brought up.

I actually find it pretty neat that you can tie your nickname in to your heritage. I have a couple of gents in my family tree that served in Dyer's 1st Regiment of Mounted Gunmen, and were killed in the Battle of New Orleans.
