Stoops is supposedly a defensive minded coach. Either he isn't as hands on as he could be, his assistant suck, or for some reason the recruits are just developing slow as paint.

Why? People act like UK has some high powered offense; they don't. They have a terribly inconsistent QB and receivers that can't catch a cold. The defense plays the way they played today, UK doesn't do jack on offense.

They might eek out a 6 win season but that's about it. Stoops doesn't have them nearly as good as everyone was crowing about.

He's recruited as well as he is going to ever recruit at UK. It's up to development. We just have no pass rushers on the entire team. We played decent at the start of the game, but with one crack slowly the whole team broke down once time went on.

I honestly believe Stoops is a great coach but he's like any other SEC coach out there, if you ain't got the players, you're not going to win in this conference.

Close losses always hurt more right away but blowouts are definitely worse in the long run

I knew UK was in serious, serious trouble when Jason Croom smoked their secondary last year for a 50 yard touchdown. Croom is NOT fast. And when he's faster than your DBs and safeties, your defense requires a multi-year rebuild. Hell, we STILL don't have the speed across the board that we need after Dooley got canned.

Our secondary looked much better with Martin playing instead of E. Moseley. Pass rush finally came alive too.

Nope, that was 2 years ago. The one last year your defender fell down on a screen pass and croom took it to the house, the defender never laid a hand on it although Dobbs messed the pass up and threw it further in front of croom than he should have. Could have been an easy pick but nobody expected the pass to do that.lol
