he just ran one of the top 3 fastest times n the nation at the Opening regional combine..it's on Scout.com for whomever wants to take a peek at it under his name...i wonder how Butch Jones can have this kind of speed n his home state n not even attempt to recruit the kid...? He's committed to Memphis

This does seem weird that we're not even looking at him. 247 Sports also has that matching 40 speed listed of 4.38. By the way though he's not listed as being committed to Memphis or any another school at this time.

He has no official scholarship offers as a matter of fact. Just 4 teams of interest right now. Those schools are Memphis, Bowling Green, MTSU, & Southern Miss. Thanks!

Another person that wants to point out how CBJ must not know which end is up. There are definitely some areas that need improvement, but overall he has done a tremendous job in 4 years. I hope he stays the course and overlooks all the Monday morning QB's.

Or Arkansas, Lsu, and Ole Miss??

They must have the same problem.

If he was Peppers he wouldn't be going to Memphis

You have that & I have this from 247 Sports: Calvin Austin, Harding Academy of Memphis, Athlete

No official offers & not committed to Memphis according to 247 Sports. :dunno: Edit: You're right though. I went to Scout & it says he verbaled to Memphis on 11-21-16: Calvin Austin Iii, Harding Academy CB - Schools of Interest & Commit Status - Scout

Jabril Peppers was listed as 6'1" and 202 pounds on Scout coming out of high school.

Calvin Austin is listed as 5'9" and 150 pounds.

That's pretty close.

If it's not on 24/7 it can't be true?

:good!: & It's not on there either. They've had every single individual committed recruit listed on the day they committed. Scout is either assuming or 247 Sports could be behind since he's a lower rated recruit.

Who knows but it's certainly not listed on 247 Sports at all of him committing to Memphis verbally. :dunno: They don't even have him with any offers at all so something is fishy here.

5'9 150 is generous

He has a handful of D1 offers and yes he is committed to play football and run track at Memphis. He is exceptionally fast, but very small. Unfortunately for him, Dooley isn't still here. He's a way better version of devrin young than devrin young ever thought about being. Very good kid. Has Olympic track speed. Could definitely make an impact at memphis if he puts on some weight but he does have a small frame, don't know how much he could carry.

I am not trying to start an argument so don't take this the wrong way but why is Scout the only main recruiting service that has him committed to Memphis?

247 Sports doesn't even have him listed with any scholarship offers. Same thing with Rivals. Where is this coming from? Why is Scout the ONLY service different from the rest of them? Thanks!

He has a track scholarship to Memphis and will be walking on to the football team.

That would sound more truthful because there is nothing about football scholarship wise on any of the recruiting sites except for what Scout has posted. Thanks.
