I heard from someone that’s close to his HS coach that they’re expecting to give him around 30 snaps a game on offense. It would’ve been nice to hold onto Christian Harrison
Yeah that one surprised me a little. Cincinnati got a good one with him. Hopefully, Marcus Goree takes a step so he can spell Boo.

I'm wondering if Christian Harrison plans to play for Belicheck at UNC. We know the ties his Dad has to Belicheck. Really don't know why else he would have left.

Committed to a team that went 5-7 (3-6) in the B12

I wonder if the McCoy news is the reason this kid had Tennessee under consideration, and we just didn't yet know about McCoy?
Idk about this or not. But AP is saying that it's a no on Breedlove due to his credits not transferring. So we would be dumb to not at least give Dixon a call and see what happens.

Tim Banks follows Cam Miller from PSU. I’d be curious if we go after him.

Yeah wouldn't mind going after him. Has Tacario Davis committed anywhere yet? If we have to spend to get a good CB until McCoy gets healthy then so be it. I'm sure we have the funds to spend if we really need to and it's worth it. And imo, it's worth it now. Before McCoys injury I would not have said so, but I think it's totally different now because I don't see him being healthy enough to start the year or to make it back before the UGA game.

How will Breedlove's credits not transfer? Purdue is a great school academically? Is he transferring because he's not keeping the grades up at Purdue?

There is absolutely 0 chance the credits thing is a legitimate reason. That’s a cop out excuse for something else.

He's been to 3 schools in 4 years, so it's not as much to do with just Purdue. He was there for 1 year. Ole Miss for 2, Colorado for 1, then Purdue, now to another school.

So from what I've gathered, some if his credits will not transfer due to this being his 4th school and for some reason related to multiple schools he has attended, some of his credits will not transfer to Tennessee. That's what is being said. Could be something else, but that's what I've gathered, fwiw. That's a brief explanation and there is a little more detail on the Portal Thread if you guys want to check it out. But that's what it's based on.

I work in education and my wife is a counselor who deals with transcripts on an almost daily basis. Trust me, if a school wants you, a school will find a way to transfer in the credits and make them work. They can scream it’s a credits issue all they wont, but it’s not a credits issue.

Probably so. Just going off of what I've heard. Can't say for certain either way. But I do agree with what you said, if our coaches REALLY wanted him, they would make it happen. So maybe they had 2nd thoughts and pulled back. Breedlove has speed, but not a difference maker by any means. I believe he graded out as the 7th best player on Purdues defense?? Not saying much considering they went 2-10. So there you go.

Anytime a kid transfers in, it’s simply finding the class you offer that matches up to the credit coming in. If you don’t have that exact class, you can definitely work the system. It’s really not some crazy rocket science that has to be computed to make it work. So whatever the reason may be, and it probably is something similar to what you suggested, they’re definitely using the credits thing as a smoke and mirrors type thing.

Still seems odd that the credits wouldn't transfer from 3 R1 institutes. If you don't "have enough" credits you just get knocked down a grade level (i.e. you become a junior again and have to retake some courses). And maybe that's the problem is he simply doesn't want to retake a class at UT.

But I would've thought he'd be a graduate transfer at this point. And a grad transfer doesn't need credits. They just need to get accepted into a graduate program.
