CBJ is spot on. Anyone who EXPECTS this team to win 7-9 games is setting themselves up for disappointment and frustration. I think come maybe 2015 but probably 2016 they'll be about to compete for a SEC Championship.

Actually think that Ole Miss is most difficult team on here, the rest of the games are absolutely winnable. (including the UF)
With you 100% THIS TEAM IS NOT GOING TO WIN 8 OR 9 GAMES THIS YEAR, to young everywhere up front where you win in this league we are young and thin get 6 wins out of this bunch and win the bowl and would be a heck of a year and get top 15 recruiting class, then next year get 8 wins then in 2016 we will be back at the top playing for the EAST and maybe a chance at Atlanta, that's where we are at in this process we cant speed it up coach Jones will take Tennessee back to the glory years if we give him a chance got to be patient.
Why can't this team win 7 of these games?
USU
Ark St.
Chatty
UK
Vandy
UF
Mizzou
Ole Miss

Utah St. won 9 games last year and beat a ranked N. Illinois team in their bowl game. They have been to a bowl game 3 straight years and have won 2 of the 3.
So?
Arkansas St. won 8 games last year, including their bowl game. They have had 3 straight winning seasons and, like Utah St. have been to 3 straight bowls, winning 2 of the 3.
So?
It is hard for me to fathom UF again being as bad as they were last year. On the other hand, I can't see UM being as good as they were last year, Vandy too for that matter.
These are all winnable games assuming we get good freshmen contributions on defense and the OL steps up. But from a depth standpoint, UT's margin for error/injury will be much, much smaller than Bama/LSU/Auburn et al. I am really hopeful for a bowl season, but I think CBJ is still 1 recruiting class away from a breakout season.
I agree with your last 2 paragraphs. UF will never be an easy game and Ole Miss will be pretty good this year as well. Vandy should suck.
Back to your 1st 2 paragraphs. If UT can't come out of the gate and beat USU then this program is in deep sh&t.
I just think it's funny that everyone harps on our offensive and defensive lines being too "young and inexperienced" to win in the SEC.
As far as I can tell, having senior-laden lines didn't do us a damn bit of good last year, because we still went 5-7.
Count me in the camp that thinks we won't see much, if any drop-off in either line this year.
