CBJ On The Zone

I live in Chattanooga, more specifically the Tiftonia area. The amount of crimson in my area is sickening! They are dug in here like ticks! Our Wal Mart has as much, if not more Alabama merch than it it does UT merch! The Cracker Barrel here is the same way! Absolutely sickens me!

Things will change when the Vols start kicking ass and taking names ! I'm in the same situation living two miles from the bamer state line.

Friend of mine is a coach at Riverdale. He texted me last night and said he was VERY impressed with CBJ. He hates UT so I'm sure it killed his soul to say that.

Storms kept me from attendeing the clinic last night. Spoke with Tate this morning, siad it was a great night.

Sounds like after a brief flirtation with candy, middle Tennessee is back to knowing the Big Orange rules & there is only one real school in the Volunteer State !

My understanding is that historically, UT coaches (and too many fans) looked down their noses at Middle Tennessee and Memphis. So if anything, we now have a coach who understands that to be a Tennessee team, you have to have respect for and faith in Tennesseeans, all three regions of them.

True. He did say this time last year they had 0 players who could squat over 600 lbs. They now have 9 who can.

And that is where the battle in the trenches is won. Leverage, push, shedding blocks.
Everyone clearly sees the lack of speed at the 2nd level but this is why you saw it so often. Not winning battles.

I for one have never looked down on any area in the great state of Tennessee. If you are a Tennesseean no matter what place within the borders, you are all clad in ORANGE.

That's nice, but I wasn't talking about you personally.

Comparing Butch's work ethic against Dooley's is mind boggling. In business you normally get out of your work what you put in. I get pissed just thinking about the lost years. All I got to say.

Of course I don't expect to have a team of guys benching 600.

Nebraska did when they steam rolled Payton and friends. Red shirt all linemen and by the time their in their 4th and 5th years they are stout.

My son went to hs with Mclendon. I was in the weight room once while he was lifting. He was a lifting freak before he ever showed up at ut.

Something else. He said they have a body pod they use to monitor BFI. They are using it to increase muscle. He gave figures on how much fat they have lost and how much muscle they have gained. Something I thought was interesting though was, he said they are stronger now than they were this time last year, despite having all of those veteran linemen. We heard that from some of the OL, but it was interesting to hear him talk about it.

Not surprised at all. It totally explains the lack of making it on 3rd and 1 and I can't tell you how many times I saw James Stone THROWN through the air backwards over the last 3 years. They were great guys but strength and "dirty mean" were not their thing

The Bod Pod is a great tool for accurately measuring body composition, but it does not increase muscle. No, that is not an endorsement. :good!:

Wow...I believe this device was pioneered or at least optimized at my Alma Mater...GA Tech....and believe it or not I was part of a Beta Test on individuals with mesomorphic build....basically I didn't fit the height weight chart and it was driven by muscularity......they wanted to test it's accuracy vs the old submersion and caliper tests for body fat %

I've lived here all my life (minus 4 in the Navy). Middle Tennesseans are know for being bandwagoners. SOO many Bama fans here now. Even seeing more and more Auburn fans.

As soon as CBJ turns this around, there will UT fans everywhere.

SICKENING. I'm moving to East Tenn. as soon as volatil jr graduates HS.

Whatev man. There are a ton of new people who have never into Middle Tn. We will convert their children.
