I live in Chattanooga, more specifically the Tiftonia area. The amount of crimson in my area is sickening! They are dug in here like ticks! Our Wal Mart has as much, if not more Alabama merch than it it does UT merch! The Cracker Barrel here is the same way! Absolutely sickens me!
Sounds like after a brief flirtation with candy, middle Tennessee is back to knowing the Big Orange rules & there is only one real school in the Volunteer State !
True. He did say this time last year they had 0 players who could squat over 600 lbs. They now have 9 who can.
My understanding is that historically, UT coaches (and too many fans) looked down their noses at Middle Tennessee and Memphis. So if anything, we now have a coach who understands that to be a Tennessee team, you have to have respect for and faith in Tennesseeans, all three regions of them.
Of course I don't expect to have a team of guys benching 600.
Something else. He said they have a body pod they use to monitor BFI. They are using it to increase muscle. He gave figures on how much fat they have lost and how much muscle they have gained. Something I thought was interesting though was, he said they are stronger now than they were this time last year, despite having all of those veteran linemen. We heard that from some of the OL, but it was interesting to hear him talk about it.
The Bod Pod is a great tool for accurately measuring body composition, but it does not increase muscle. No, that is not an endorsement. :good!:
I've lived here all my life (minus 4 in the Navy). Middle Tennesseans are know for being bandwagoners. SOO many Bama fans here now. Even seeing more and more Auburn fans.
As soon as CBJ turns this around, there will UT fans everywhere.
SICKENING. I'm moving to East Tenn. as soon as volatil jr graduates HS.
Nebraska did when they steam rolled Payton and friends. Red shirt all linemen and by the time their in their 4th and 5th years they are stout.
My son went to hs with Mclendon. I was in the weight room once while he was lifting. He was a lifting freak before he ever showed up at ut.
