CBJ penalty

No. Muschamp does it CONSTANTLY. To anyone and anything on the sideline.

I have little doubt Jones' eruption on the sideline was nothing more than a Basketball Coach getting T'ed up on purpose. He had seen that team wilt in the 2nd half, watched their heads drop when things started getting rough...so I'm guessing he figured if I fight, they'll fight. Picked the first spot when it seemed like things went against UT and stormed the gates of hell in response to it.

It wouldn't surprise me. Butch is very calculating and may well have used his own frustration to get everyone's attention and say, "we are NOT giving up in this game."

Since he doesn't do it regularly it doesn't strike me as Muschamp-like. I have to say though Muschamp has calmed down a lot from where he was at -- he's still more hot-tempered than anyone else though.

We sit in the north end zone, and I don't know what he said, but I do know that he ran out onto the field and gave the ref a piece of his mind for sure. CBJ was VERY mad. As soon as I saw him run out on the field and up to the referee, I had a feeling he was going to get a penalty. I liked it though. He was right in the refs face yelling at him..lol. Maybe he spit on him or something. :birgits_giggle:

1- The replay clearly showed the ref waving his arms over his head *before* the snap.
2- Kinda funny how "butch is intense, love it", but "Muschamp strokes out, etc." Butch and Muschamp seem to have pretty similar sideline demeanor to me .. lol

If you're not wearing orange-tinted glasses you're doing it wrong.

I honestly don't get fans being called out for it.

Are we sure the penalty was on Butch? There were players behind Butch tussling with a UGA player. Just hard to believe they would throw the flag as Butch did nothing out of the ordinary for coaches. All they said was penalty on the Tennessee sideline.

The way I saw it, they snapped the ball and ran it all the way to the sideline before blowing the whistle. Many times you see the play stopped right after the snap before giving the ball to runner, I understand that, but not 5 seconds into the play. Then to pile on with call against Butch is bad, unless he called him a C sucker. Quickest way to get flag. And the flag was pretty quick.

"Hey. If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Ritter, The Ref, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, fore-fleshing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, d!@kless, hopeless, heartless, fat-@ss, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey s@!t he is. Hallelujah. Holy s@!t. Where's the Tylenol?" -

As long as replay buzzes the ref before the play begins the play never happened. It was annoying, and CBJ lost it, but it was the correct call. I always try to play the middle, because replays have been good for us and will be so in the future

Don't tell these people the rules it doesn't fit into their agenda.
