CBJ Sideline Intensity

Love the intensity. Butch looks like he demands perfection.

But, did anyone see him clapping after one of the pics yesterday? That was Fulmeresque boys and girls. And not one thread! LOL.

Has anyone else noticed how intense CBJ is on the sidelines? That's something we haven't seen at UT in a long time, or maybe ever in my lifetime, and I love it. I can't remember which game, but he was all up in Coach Azzanni's grill after the WRs made a mistake -- love seeing that kind of passion and accountability from our head coach.

Dooley got a little animated a few times, but that was usually only when someone pulled his stool out from under him or took one of his crutches away.

CBJ's intensity is what he should be doing. After all he is the Head Coach. However, he made a big gamble in starting Peterman an it backfired bigtime. He has to own that one regardless of how the fanbase feels about his sideline charisma. Right now we don't have a QB that gives us the option of winning meaningful games. Expect more sideline antics from CBJ because it may get real ugly after next week.

I agree with what Coach Jones said about the team making improvements in little ways which are adding up. For the VN record, I still think Jones is a good FB coach who will eventually be successful at Tennessee. But he needs to realize what that game meant to us, and that he did not give the players their best chance to win it. There is no doubt in my mind that these players are good enough to win some big games, and I want to see it happen. Maybe Jones should get a little more sleep, because he might have driven himself to a point of diminishing returns.

So Muschamp is a spaz but CBJ has passion. Hmmm

If you can't see the difference watching Muschamp's tirades, then no one can help you. Muschamp is at another level when it comes to that. I was embarrassed to watch him during his first UT game when they were called for multiple pass interference penalties, and I don't even root for him.

Dooley used to get pretty pissed off, see the picture of him slamming his cane. Kiffin didn't have as many reasons to get pissed because his team didn't suck, tho he was pretty intense at times - see Kiffin shoving the hell out of J Crompton lol. Fulmer on the other head never got excited. He'd just make a goofy smile and clap.

Jones was pissed when the players weren't sprinting to the other side of the field at the end of the first. Not exactly "about to punch his own players - will muschamp" pissed, but pretty damn fired up.

Check the record of that "goofy smile and clap".

I think Muschamp forgot he cut himself shaving and left a toilet paper piece on his cheek. As far as CBJ, he looked like he was going to blow a fuse. We make fun of Muschamp, but I'm glad we have a coach with fire. The players love fiery coaches

Q: Who's hit more balls than Babe Ruth's bats?

A: Coach Muschamp's Chin. lol

Please forgive me for my sins!

We got us a damn good coach and I'm very happy he is here just hang tight vol nation Butch is going to make some noise here in Knoxville. I back Butch 110% and for the ones who don't like him go find you another team to cheer for. GO VOLS!

Hes a good leader, takes all of the responsibility for his players, does not make excuses, is a glass half full type of guy (which is needed badly), and is making this team better game by game. However, he should have pulled Peterman 2 series earlier. I feel bad for the kid, but this was the wrong environment to start him in. I truly believe this game would have been much closer had he been on the bench. If we could have had three of his turnovers back we are in this game deep into the 4th.

If a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his butt.

This... when muschump did it last year, everyone made fun of him and called him an idiot. Now jones acts the same way and we call it passion, so now what is it? Being an idiot or having passion. . I dont care, it shows me that he cares and wants this team to win..

Yeah, I did think it was funny watching Jones on the sideline after y'all made fun of Muschamp so much this past year, I personally love that stuff. I will say though, I think y'alls coach is going to prove a great hire, I think yesterday is really close game that could go either way if y'all have comparable talent, and Jones is taking care of that on the recruiting trail. I love our rivalry, and really look forward to the Muschamp vs. Jones games in our future.

Yes. CBJ looked like a pissed off grown man. Muschamp looks like a petulant 4 yr old throwing a temper tantrum.

I really don't see much of a difference honestly. They both get really fired up, even if Muschamp's looks sometimes are a little more of the "I will eat your entire family" variety. :)

But we make fun of other teams coaches that act the same....

Dooley and the crutch, is a hard act to top, especially with those Italian Orange slacks.

We've got a pretty good coach, If only we could get rid of these piss poor fair weather fans. UT actually deserves better than some of the fans that I have seen post on here.
