I have no ideal why so many writers have OSU as a top contender. I bet they don't get a smell, their soft schedule flip on them having to play Mich, Mich st, and Penn State...but CUM still managed to play a soft schedule...look for retirement coming soon...

I'm sure there will be allot of bowls wanting Tennessee if we win, with the dry period of bowl bids they are sure to sell all of the tickets.

they are going to do their best to keep the Big 10 teams in the play offs. They are not going to want the Southern teams to dominate the NCAA football landscape.

I, personally see the teams like MIchigan, T.O.S.U., etc. getting less and less relevant in college football as each year passes.

The demographics of this country are changing quickly. The population of Michigan "Detroit", Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania are moving south. The un-employment, high state tax rates, high crime rates, less freedom "gun control' etc. are causing many people to move south.

After high school, those kids who moved from the north will not elect to go to school in the north, but will go to school in the south, where it is warmer and where their family moved to. Sol they will be closer to family while playing sports on the college level.

this means a smaller pool of recruits who will go to T.O.S.U. Penn State, Michigan, etc. etc.

Decades ago, Florida's population was much smaller. Now, suddenly, it is a hot bed for college recruits in football. The population of Florida changed and the families who moved to Florida from the north stayed in the south and didn't play sports for the northern universities.

So a Clowney and Shaw-less South Carolina is in a BCS bowl but not Bama?

Edit: oops...... missed the playoff bracket at the top.

Still surprised they have S. Carolina having so much success.

Believe me they won't their secondary will get torched and dline will get pushed around. They are being given the benefit of the doubt at this point.

It is wonderful to think about how much better the bowls could wind up being this year. The playoff is nice, but it is awesome that we don't have awful conference limits on the major bowl games.

I think we'll do better. I just have a feeling we'll be much improved. I'm feeling 9-3. I admit I don't know why. It's just a hunch. Maybe wishful thinking, I don't know.
