I am UT Vols all the way, but Bama should be in the playoffs if TCU or Southern Cal loses. they lost 2 very close games on the road to top 10 teams. We blew our chances at SC in they way they beat us, had it been close it would have much different.

So a 12-1 TCU team whose only loss is in their conference conference championship to a 9-3 team should miss out on the playoffs over a 10-2 team with multiple losses?

I don't think TCU is a top 4 team, and yes I do, but this is just my opinion. I have no idea what the committee will do. There is a huge difference in the strength of conferences. Like SC today beat Clemson on their home field, and Clemson will probably win their conference.

Yes but transitive property is hard to apply to college ball. Otherwise I could say that Appalachian State beat Texas A&M who beat LSU. Or TCU beat Texas by wider margin than Alabama did. Or Liberty beat Arkansas worse than LSU. Or that Florida State beat LSU but lost 3 games to ACC foes. The list goes on.

Let me guess. You think the best 4 teams are Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, and Tennessee?

Things change week to week. Crazy things happen, still when you look at the whole body of work especially with Tennessee bouncing back tonight there resume is just as good as bama’s. And they did win the head to head. And South Carolina won today on Clemsons field. So that loss as bad as it was doesn’t appear as bad.GBO

Tennessee gave up 63 to South Carolina. They don't deserve to make it in. Read that again. Gave up 63 to South Carolina. Lost their starting QB. It's over. Alabama is playing great right now.

Tennessee will be considered, but there are too many hurdles...

Would like to see USC and TCU win. Probably diminish Bama sliding into the CFP. I really just don’t want to see Bama in the CFP cause I know will have to hear from that stupid ass Danielson babble on about how long that elephants trunk is and so on and so forth. First he wanted Tebow’s jock strap so bad it was sick and now it’s Young. F’n gag me.

A win is a win and a lose is a lose. To put 10-2 Bama in front of 10-2 Tennessee is wrong when Bama's loss was to Tennessee and LSU and Tennessee beat LSU its like we beat Bama twice.

I disagree completely on Bama, but I'm not saying we should be in either. Bama should not be in the playoff simply because I'm not convinced they could beat any of the top 4 teams. They would definitely get beat by top 2.

You think Bama definitely couldn’t beat Michigan? That’s just wrong. I can see Georgia being favored in a head to head vs bama but it could definitely go either way. Bama is still an elite team yeah the lost a miracle game in Neyland and an overtime night game in Baton Rouge to the West champs. If I’m being honest they are the second best team in the country and should therefore be in the playoffs. But that doesn’t change the fact that our records are the same and we won the head to head and lsu as a mutual opponent. Media all debating Bama and ignoring UT(save Doering, bless that gator) is some bullish!te

Who would you take in your top 5 over Bama, UGA, us and LSU given equal schedules? OSU likely doesn’t escape without 2 losses, TCU surely doesn’t, USC doesn’t, Clemson doesn’t. I think UM could cause of the level of defense they play but even they barely escaped Maryland and Illinois.
