If Jones & Ware don't come to U.T., then I expect CCM to pull two of the guys that he was recruitiing to play at Missouri State to U.T. So, we will end up with two Missouri State caliber players, if Jones & Ware leave!!!!!

Those "kind of players" went 26-9 (15-3) last season [RPI of 44], and a record of 50-21 in the last 2 seasons. Not too shabby.

Both those players are good enough for UT. Ones a 4 star and in the top 100 on rivals, the other is a 3 star and in the top 150 on rivals. Coach Martin should get these guys even if we keep Ware and Jones. Lets not bash any recruits when we had Skyler McBee and Steven Pearl playing significant minutes.

I really hope we can keep these guys on the roster because we will need guards soon after Hopson takes off. After that, we are left with Tatum, Golden, McRae, McBee, and TYLER SUMMITT on the roster. Nothing real scary about those guys.

These two young men are important.

Pearl wouldn't release Tyler Smith if memory serves me correct. So is this a coaches decisision or matter of principle?

they will both go somewhere else and I don't blame them. new coach, unknown sanctions, mike hammy the liar. no brainer

If they are released, they can go anywhere they want without penalty. Otherwise, they'll have to sit out and walk on for a year if they go to another D-1 school. If they don't get a release, they can go to JUCO for a year and still get to play and be on scholarship and then go to another D-1 school, assuming they're full academic qualifiers.

I'm pretty sure they will be granted a release. Otherwise it would be even more bad press for UT.

As I recall, Pearl didn't release him because his dad and he refused to even meet with Pearl.

Not saying that's right or wrong, just sayin'.

And the reason Smith didn't stick with UT was because Pearl wasn't prepared to pay him, like an assisntant for Buzz(Chuck Benson I believe) had set up with a booster in Franklin.

I don't know anything about that. Not saying it isn't true, just don't know anything about it at all.
