OP what makes you think all "elite" players even wanna come to Tenn.? haha
We aren't a powerhouse when it comes to bball
Not bashing your post totally because I agree with some of it but do you really think Bruce didnt see a need at PG? U could ask any hack off of this site and they could tell u that.

Youre right but he didnt say that did he? But since you bring up the point he didnt try to recruit a quality PG?

OP decide if u want someone to build s program, or a one trick pony.
With the AAU scene the way it is, coaches literally have years of trust invested in then by these kids. It's hard, maybe impossible, and don't take this the wrong way, for a zo level coach to take over a program like UT and steal any recruits from march til July. A cal to uk or another elite coach to traditional powerhouse school might be able to do it, but even then u still have handlers to navigate thru and other recruiting tactics by coaches that are already in to deal with.
Sit back, chill, and enjoy the ride. Every kid u get isnt gonna be a homerun, and like another poster said, it's not like Bruce was recruiting kids who were all-stars

I'm cool with our coach recruiting players he had previously recruited for Missouri St...but it should not be his first priorities!
I know he wants to have all this "connection" and "take care of" sort of crap but he needs to understand that he can now get more highly skilled players.
Of course these players are going to commit to TN!
He needs to go for big time players if he want TN to be big time. That's all I'm saying. You CAN always develop players but a program needs a couple of slam dunks.
