I'd settle for any bowl game. That would mean at least a 6-6 record. However, I've predicted us going 7-5 so that's even a better bowl game. If we go 8-4 or better I think we all would be overly excited.

The only ones that wouldn't be might be the team themselves. They with Butch Jones as coach are probably expecting more. They seem confident & you can account that for Coach Butch Jones. He's so positive & upbeat! :rock:

We beat NC state in Atlanta. It was north Carolina that we lost because of the screw job.

This weekend I watched a Fox Sports South episode on the upcoming season for the Vols (may have been a rerun) but I don't think our boys are playing to make a weak bowl game. From what I saw, they have the SEC or higher in their sights.

I know that the players need to have the "win every game" mindset but realistically, I think we have a good shot at an 8 win season.

In short, F the Music City bowl.

Heck, I'll take the stinky bee's port o' jon toilet bowl at this point just to be able to say we went to a bowl! It's miserable when the likes of USU and Vandy can bring up they've won more bowls than we've been to in the last 5 years! Times, they have, and they are once again a changin!

For those complaining about them predicting a record worse than 6-6 and then have us going to a bowl, remember that these websites have more than 1 reader. It's entirely possible the person who wrote the record predictions did not write the bowl predictions.

Heck, I'll drink some of that Autauga County moonshine with you bro! I think that Fulmer said the same thing today. Hopefully, we can have some positive things happen for us for a change. Then we blow the roof off the house and put the SEC on notice.

I don't do it often, but I agree with CB on this. Get six under the belt and anything else is a blessing. Concentrate on pushing for the SEC CG after the baby steps of getting to a bowl.

Sad state of affairs in UT Football when we have to think in such terms, but the truth is we need those small steps to push the program back forward.
