CFNs Top 10

The last time UGA had multiple suspensions and played a big time opening game....they murdered Clemson 30-0

I expect the same

WHile LSU is loaded I'd have to slide them lower than UT til Miles proves he can maintain a top 10 team coaching wise.

WIth that said I'd have to drop UF out of the top 10 til Meyer proves his system as well.

UGA lost alot and I know they'll reload..I just dont think they are top 10 until Shockley proves he can lead that offense for an entire game. The D has carried them and it will not be that caliber this yr.

How the hell is UGA ahead of us and LSU ahead of UT. UGA should be around 15 or so. And def. not ahead of UF. I dont think UT should be #2, but then Im not sure theres anyone else, Def not LSU. Bad poll.

UGA being ahead of UF isn't some unfathable scenario so to say "How the hell" would be a bit extreme

We return the same amount of starters (15)
We beat you last year (thank god...finally)
We return our entire OL and RB's.

Though we have a lot of question marks on both sides of the ball, finishing ahead of UF isn't something I think can't be achieved

Come on . . . UGA has to be ahead of Florida. FLA has 10 losses the last 2 years AND lost to UGA last year!?

In the end FLA may finish ahead of UGA, but it's all just potential right now.

Well, you lose very key players on your D, your starting QB, and i think 2 or 3 of your WR....UF keeps almost all their WR, their starting QB, and only one key d player...and w/o the zook controversey last year, i think it would have been a different story....you guys lost too much

You lose your starting RB, top WR, 2 OL's, and your best players on D.

UF had the 57th best D in D1 last year and struggled to stop the run numerous times due to poor play upfront.

If Meyer's system is run to perfection, it will only add MORE pressure to a D that frankly is far from that great.

Will UF finish ahead of UGA? Possibly.
But to say before the year begins that its impossible for UGA to finish ahead of UF is absurd.

People said we lost too much in 2003 too.

And look what ya did in 04. Ufs d lost basically crowder, and we return a capable rb in wynn, plus chad jackson was considered by many to be our #1, plus caldwell, tookes, cornieleous, plus severy tallented freshman, and oh yeah, we did have the #1 o in the SEC last year including chris leak coming back, we just look better on paper, weather that goes ito the season remains to be seen. But the cocktail party will be the judgement.

What about 2004? We won 10 games and finished #6 in the AP poll...oh lord that is horrible!

Like GA said, you have lost 10 games the last two years and have a unproven coach and an average at best D.

Look what good UF's #1 Offense did last year....

Bottom line on Florida is they have to figure out how to finish off games. Lord knows I love to pile on the Gators, but no way they should have lost 5 games last year.

Unproven?!?

Im sure you mean in the SEC, but even so, hes been more successful then Richt, and several other coaches around t he country, with lesser tallent. (yes lesser opponents i know) but to do what he did in the fashion he did it, over the past 2 years, even you have to tip your cap too, face it, UF will be better this year, they may not go undefeated, but they will be better then the previous 3 years. Lets leave it at that.

All those SEC Titles and what not...boy am I impressed.

Please, spare me...beating St. Mary's School of the Blind and North Dakota CC doesn't exactly scare me

I'm not seeing that.

I do have to say that I am enjoying watching a Dawg and a Gator go at it on a Vol board. If we're going to have rival fans on this board, they might as well be at each other's throat.

The difference between UGA and UF, imo is that UGA is one of the most talented teams in the country in the trenches, with teams like Texas, LSU and USC. Georgia will be back at full strength.

Well, remind me the last time UGA won a conf title, went undefeated, and won a BCS bowl, all in the same season.

And that's from a team that lost to Mississippi State.

Having a lot of returning starters can be a good thing. When it's from a team that's lost 10 games in the last two years that might mean it's not a totally positive thing.

Right. Please don't get the impression that I am saying UF will suck or UGA will be great....I have UGA going 9-2 next year.

But UF has no room to act as if will 100% be better then UGA. Just isn't true
